I also took a little jaunt into the Capital Wasteland this past week. (also by starting into a previously being played game). It started out in the Citadel where they were waiting for Misa to give the go ahead to launch Liberty Prime.
After she came out of the coma she ran through Broken Steel. It was so great to be back in the DC area that I am very tempted to start a new game and run the whole thing from start to finish again. I took some screenshots; will have to get back on my laptop and upload them.

Yes, we have both gotten rid of the green tint the vanilla game puts over everything.

I like that green tint! Though it's interesting to see what the game looks like without it smile.gif

@mALX - That's great! I'm glad you've gotten your gaming spirit back! biggrin.gif

Awesome, glad to hear this! Please keep us posted.

I keep slacking on writing up a full Cho Zen Wan update, but Broken Steel got finished long ago in his game, maybe last summer. I wrote up a bunch of repeatable quests for him to do, adding respawning enemies into Super Duper Mart, Alexandra Arms, and the area outside of Farragut Metro East, where all those bandits live 24/7. That area was a particularly difficult one to deal with when I was a noob, long ago in 2013.

Visited the Sniper Shack last session. That area is quite fun with many opportunities to snipe off mutants. I might continue up the NW part over the car bridge. Quite much fun hunting up there too!

I vaguely remember where the sniper shack, but I've been there a long time ago for the last time. Make sure to pick off some slavers while in that area.

Touring the wasteland, Gunny and I have now begun our sub-tour up the D.C area. We teleport directly to L. Enfant Plaza and from there we teleport to the Ranger Compund and the Washington Monument where we're currently at. Then we make a couple more stops northbound until we exit the area by the recruitment center at the very edge.

Fascinating story, Renee! biggrin.gif wink.gif

As for me I'm yet again over-encumbered, and so is Gunny. So now we have to painstakingly WALK across the Wasteland until we meet a merchant or Gunny is destroyed at which point I can load him up beyond his normal capability.

We're currently at Fairfax, btw.

That's the problem with creativity, sometimes you feel inspired, but then you go to write. And there's just nothing there. verysad.gif But just in case that inspiration returned, I at least started with the html code (which is a pain in the wrist to set up in Cho stories).

Today I sold as much as I could at Tenpenny and then Gunny and I teleported to the Chryslus (or whatev) building from where we got up to the Bethesda ruins. After that we ran up to the dairy farm and Old Olney which was empty apart from one lone Deathclaw.

This session gave a lot of loot from foes killed by other foes which was neat. But I still haven't found a spare .44 revolver I could use to repair my Blackhawk with. They sure are rare.

The .44 is rare, this is true. emot-ninja1.gif Well, good luck finding one.

Thanks. Didn't find one today either though. The shops down in Rivet City came up short, as did Moira.

Today we have been raiding the north part of the map. Got a good share of Talon armor and Deathclaw hands. We're currently outside one of those towers in the NW containing more Talon, and next session will have them collected as well.

After the recent tour to the north, Gunny and I have now raided Fairfax and is currently at Tenpenny to offload all the goods. A painstaking walk there it was too as both of us were filled to the brim.

Gotta keep working on that next 100K biggrin.gif

Just imagine if this were like real-life. Would we even continue to game if we could make that much money? I actually think I would! But not as much.

Linda Hand is just outside of Vegas. She's dawdling a bit... not quite ready to do in yet, and there's always stuff to do.

After doing the game's quests I needed an open-ended one to keep me going. Collecting caps was the best I could come up with tongue.gif

Just completed another run-through of the D.C area which consists of jumping to L. Enfant Plaza to Washington Monument, Takoma Park and Friendship Heights. Lots of loot gathered and then sold at Rivet City where we're currently just outside of.

Friday, 12.07.81, 7:35 AM: Linda Hand is just outside of the Vegas strip, trying to figure out how to get into the place. As she's searching for an entrance, she's come across a rather large settlement full of Sharecroppers. These folks are basically like farmers with guns.

For some reason, they asked Linda to figure out why some of their water supply keeps getting irradiated, maybe because they're too afraid to figure it out for themselves.

Good to be back in New Vegas. smile.gif

I bet it’s something about her name that just makes her seem like she’d be super helpful. Just a feeling I get. tongue.gif
