For me, its gotta be Snake Eater for metal gear solid 3.

it sets up the game perfectly, and is different from the first two game themes, since it is based in the sixties.

I am not sure of one single song. But I love the Mechwarrior 2 and Quake 2 soundtracks. When I used to gamemaster pen and paper RPGs, I used to play them for background music.

There is alot of great music in games. I really like the music of Morrowind and Oblivion, but I think i would say Nobuo Uematsu is my favorite composer. The Final Fantasy games have superb soundtracks, maybe especially number 6, I like the opera.

Many games have so good music. Deus Ex is still haunting me (in the good way ) and I cannot get enough of Morrowind´s and Oblivion´s music.

And when it comes to NES games, many of them had great music! My favorite game music from the NES library include Mega Man, Shadowgate, Bobble Bubble, Batman, Super Mario Bros 2, Wizards and Warriors and of course Legend of Zelda. I also have to mention Mr Gimmick but that game had a much more advanced sound chip than the rest of the games.

"Kiss Me Sunlights" by Heart of Air, for the ZOE theme, and the theme music for Vagrant Story are 2 that spring immediately to mind.
Obv. there's "Auriel's Ascension" and "Minstrel's Lament" for you know what by you know who. These are two of the single most gorgeous pieces of music for anything ever and I would be quite happy to have them played at my funeral.

on the spoiler section, Great payback! Hes one of my favorites too! (Aldos Othran) - I've been trying to make him my "town drunk" in a mod (I made) that adds a village in Black Marsh. He's not up and running yet, his AI package still needs work. He's supposed to slump in the pews of the chapel snoring loudly during the weekly service. (The service is Mankar Camoran giving his Mythic Dawn speech at the chapel once per week). Still haven't gotten the bugs worked out of Mankar yet either, haven't had time to work on the mod since last August.

When I get it done it will be a fun village. Todd Howard lives there and becomes the player's follower, I've got Todd's actual voice for his NPC - and he is working well so far (knocks on wood).

Actually most of my mods are weird, nothing anyone would download if I posted them (I've only made mods I would like to play with, lol).

1. A rude fishing pole that mocks you if you aren't fishing properly
2. A mouse follower with a terrible temper that has over 20 unique squeaks (it is a rodent form of Vilja, he squeaks as he's following you as if he's grumbling the whole way).

3. That village.
a. There is a treasure hidden on the Player owned property in the village, but the village is full of traps you may find while searching for the treasure. (the player has to figure his way out of them). One trap ends you in a sunken tower you have to escape; another drops you from an extreme height (the falling trap from the Thieves guild "Ultimate Heist - still working the bugs out of it); three take you to different (and progressively harder) Oblivion worlds where you fight Arena matches with Daedra (still trying to make it so the Player can't leave till they've beaten the 3 Daedra there), etc.

b. If you find Todd Howard he becomes your follower.
c. The NPC's acting as "guest speakers" in the chapel will all have familiar faces and dialogue, (example Mankar Camoran) - there is a different one per day. (still working the glitches out of that)
d. The town drunk (still working out the glitches, can't get him to slump in the pew and snore loudly; and still transferring his dialogue to the clone NPC - but he WILL sing the Cliffracer song!)

Lol, they are fun for me at least, lol. My favorite trap in the whole game was falling down from Ocato's chambers to the sewers - and that is the only trap that isn't working well, lol. Well, other than Mehrunes Dagon, I tried to have the player fight him in the 3rd Oblivion realm and he crashed my Construction Set and game, plus all the mods I had going at the time. Had to give up on that idea, lol.

Wow, that's not an easy question to answer. I reckon games have way better soundtracks than movies so there are alot of good ones to choose from.

The Morrowind title is obviously one piece that comes to mind but honestly, I'm gonna have to say that I enjoy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xhJTMeytTWw from the Skyrim soundtrack more. It gives me a soothing feel like like no other soundtrack.

I also remember in 2009 when Assassin's Creed 2 came out. For me, that was the most anticipated game of the year and I remember how I pretty much spent an entire weekend playing it when it first came out.
