Very nice review of that beautiful house Aravi and Vilja have. How handy that teleporty thingie is! Poof, and they’re in Cheydinhal! It’s nice to see Aravi turn their efforts to helping Vilja with her alchemy needs. And it keeps her away from those darn vampires!

@Grits: Aravi likes to get out into the forest for a walk. The light cutting through the fog made that scene very beautiful and I wanted to share it.

Aravi is small! Even compared to other Khajiit women. Her height is .93 and the norm is .95. For a comparison, the average Imperial is 1, Darnand would be 1 also, a Nord like Jerric is usually 1.06, and Buffy is .9.

I laughed at your comment on Vilja pounding the brews with the orcs.

I’m glad that Aravi is taking a break from the vampires. She needs some time to recover from all the injuries she’s received, and a few restful nights of sleep.

Aravi's task

Those new screens are great! And thanks for showing us the quest notes from Aravi’s log regarding her current task.

I really enjoyed the scenery in this one. I think the beautiful weather really helped.

I’m convinced that highwaymen are wannabe bandits who flunked out of bandit school! He accosted Aravi with three Legion soldiers within sight. Gee, no wonder it ended badly for him. The other highwaymen one encounters are no brighter. If you give them 100 gold, they turn and walk away displaying a big ‘shoot me here ’ sign on their back so you can recover your gold.

I could really see Aravi hesitate as she ate her last mandrake root. She needs to find some more of that. And is was great that she was carrying a cure poison potion.

Poor Vilja. After helping Aravi with that highwayman, she just wanted to spend a nice day at home. But nope, it’s into that teleport thingie and off to Skingrad. How wonderful to see the statue of King Rislav and Corsair! Of course, in Aravi’s defense, her whole purpose in this travel is to help Vilja with her colorful alchemy quest.

Oh, great screens with the new sword! I like Screen 3 the best with that red tree in the background.

Guilbert Jemane was funny. He’s friendly enough, but not a very successful conversationalist.

I agree with Acadian about the scenery. The views toward the Imperial City were especially nice.

Oh my gosh, it was the Bad Timing Bandit. I had to laugh as he went down under an avalanche of Imperial iron. Vilja was spoiling for a fight, too. But he did manage to get a solid hit in and poison Aravi, and that wiped the smile off my face! I like those greaves, BTW. A silver belly chain would go with them nicely.

That was a lovely trip back to the manor, and on to Skingrad! Looks like it will be a pretty day there, too.

I got a kick out of Aravi's hand on Vilja's rump as she is trying to get by her on the steps - then finally pushes past, lol.

Where I nearly choked to death laughing at this vid was Vilja's weaving in place and grinning like a possom while sticking that huge mug in Aravi's face (the mug almost the size of Aravi herself) - handing her a beer, too. Vilja doesn't like to drink alone, lol.

I loved getting the look out the window, that is the greatest thrill for me and I can't walk by a window anymore without peering out. Great Vid !!

The back and forth in Cheydinhal was funny, Vilja was not following, lol. - no wait, the part where Aravi talked to Heniri was cut? Didn't want to waste the film on her creepily voiced riddles?

Wow, one of your mods is really making those rocks detailed !!

Funny how three Imperial Legionnaires were right there when the Highwayman tried to rob Aravi and Vilja !! That is like watching the "Stupidest Criminals" show, lol.

Vilja (who does nothing but rest and drink anyway) - on the way home is asking to take the day off and rest...drink some wine, ROFL !!!

So next is Falanu, can't wait to see that one, lol. Awesome new vid !!

@Acadian: That highway man has got to be the dumbest one I’ve run into yet. He tries that when there are not one but THREE of the legion right there.

Those roots are very important and it’s never good to see her supply exhausted.

@Grits: I’m glad you liked the scenery. I did too even though my computer was struggling there. I was running RAEVWD at the time and it works fine on my computer… Except when I am recording with fraps. I ended up removing the mod.

The texturing is from Qarl’s texture pack 3. I like the higher resolution textures. Very nice looking as you noted.

When you pointed out the bit about the wine I wondered, Is Vilja an alcoholic?

Looks like you've got "Companion Friendly Inns!" Did it add windows? I noticed Aravi looked a little stunned when she entered the room, lol. The bed for Vilja looked pretty small in that room, she probably would have climbed in the bigger bed and left the tiny one for Aravi, lol.



What a rip! Falanu asked 200 for the hair dye and it was only 47! No wonder Aravi stole it !! Now that I know the real cost, I may just have to steal it myself when I get to that part! Aravi was funny after she stoled it, she was running like a banshee to get back to the Inn, ROFL !!!

I was rolling at Aravi and Vilja’s interactions in this one. Maybe she made that Chameleon potion for Aravi so she wouldn’t have to look at Aravi’s outfit.

Oh, that’s one disadvantage of those beautiful windows! Aravi doesn’t want to provide a show when she’s changing clothes.

Woo hoo! A little after-hours shopping gets the blood moving. Much scarier than the lightning was the thought that Falanu might be entertaining the recently deceased upstairs. Odds are that Vilja will be staggering around the inn with a tankard in her hand when Aravi gets back. After all, it’s only midnight, and she’s been especially thirsty lately.

This was a fun break from the vampire killing.

It was wonderful once again to see the statue of King Rislav and his steed Corsair!

What is it with Falanu and the hair dye? I mean it’s not exactly like Miss Coppertop Alchemist exactly came by her color naturally.

With all those windows in that room, I can see why Aravi sought someplace more private to change her clothes.

On the beds, I’m with Grits. I wouldn’t be surprised if Vilja relegated Aravi to the kitty bed. Lol.

WooHoo! A middle of the night thieving escapade. I was holding my breath till she got back to the inn! Don’t worry, Aravi. I’m sure Falanu gets so many requests for green hair dye that she’ll have no idea who may have taken it. Um, nevertheless, our girls may want to leave Skingrad before too long.

@mALX: Yes I do have companion friendly inns, I got sick of Vilja throwing a tantrum every time they stayed at an inn. The windows are from Immersive Interiors! You are the one that sent that mod to me!

Aravi was a little stunned. She was trying to figure out how she was going to change clothes without putting on a show for anyone that might glance up into her window.

Aravi paid for the room so she’s going to take the big bed!

Falanu asks ridiculous prices through that whole mod and Aravi was sick of her blatant rip offs. That was the first time Aravi stole something and she was very nervous about it. She was freaked out by the thunder and lightning already and she was expecting an angry Falanu and the guards at any minute.

@Grits: Vilja’s such a critic. Aravi’s going to wear what she pleases. Those dresses just get dirty and snag on stuff when she’s walking around so she’ll wear pants.

She didn’t know what to do when she entered her room. “Where are the curtains?” was her first thought.

I don’t think Aravi’s aware of Falanu’s… preferences. That’s a pretty safe bet on Vilja though.

That was a shock opening the door and seeing the whole room was… totally observable from the street!

We’ll see who gets the “kitty bed.” You are forgetting that Vilja spends quite of bit of the evening and early morning quenching her thirst. That means first choice will be Aravi’s! It’ll be interesting to see if Vilja crashed in the same bed with Aravi or if she sleeps in the other one.

And I bet it’ll be a few weeks before Falanu notices that it’s missing. It’s not like she uses it a lot.

Vilja did that to me in that exact same place - wandered off (very fast) into the woods around Skingrad. I could hear her talking but not find her. When I finally did I told her to follow me instead, and boy did she get ticked off at that! She refused to follow me till I told her to ride Brusa, then she was okay after that, lol. WHEW !!

I never saw anything attack Aravi, did she just get it from walking in the wooded areas? (like real ticks)?

Swimming, flowers, and butterflies! What a pretty morning in the West Weald.

I had to laugh at Aravi’s reaction when Vilja headed north off the road at Derelict Mine. What’s wrong with the road? I guess Vilja likes the direct route. Some of those plants are higher than Aravi.

I like Vilja’s armor, even though we mostly saw her distant head. She needs to carry a little flag to wave around if she’s going to take off through the shrubbery like that.

Yikes, sick again. Poor Aravi. Other than the ticks, it was a lovely day!

Neat transition from the ‘door loading’ to leave the West Weald Inn to appearing in the meadows outside Skingrad. Very clever and well done!

Pickin’ ‘gredients in your ‘kini with your friend. Just doesn’t get much better than that!

Woot! New armor for Vilja!

Gosh you really captured Aravi’s WTF moment when Vilja opted for the off road route home instead of the perfectly direct Gold Road! I laughed as Aravi looked back and forth between the road and the woods before obviously unhappily following her Nordic friend with the ‘perfect sense of location’.

Beautiful weather. I much prefer sunny days in Cyrodiil.

Lol. Vilja is hard to follow in that grass. You need the mod ‘Dude, Where’d I Park My Horse Nord?’ It gives you a green quest marker arrow.

And finally they make it home. Your camera effects do a great job of showing Aravi feeling sick and woozy. Glad she had a cure disease pote-tshun.

Holy Imp Chips! Vilja reported that she ran across a couple mud crabs the other day.

She was considering sticking to the road and let Vilja find her own way home. In the end, she sighed and ran after Vilja.

I’m glad you like the armor. I thought it looked a bit ridiculous with the massive bust size that modders seem to prefer; which is a reason Aravi has stuck with a vanilla cuirass.

After viewing your latest vids, I have another mod suggestion for you: Harvest Flora.

What does this mod do? Well, whenever you check a plant for ingredients, a portion of the plant is removed (or the whole plant is if necessary). This allows for a more realistic experience, and you will be able to easily keep track of which plants you have already harvested.

So if you, say, check a blackberry bush for ingredients, you will notice the blackberries on it disappear. Or when you grab some seeds off a Flax plant, you will clip off the flowers to let yourself know you have already harvested that plant.

It's a very subtle mod, but it really enhances the atmosphere of the game. This really is one of those mods I would recommend to anyone who plays this game.

Anyways, on your West Weald wandering vid, I got a good smile in when Vilja handed Aravi the Fatigue potion, since Aravi was obviously a bit tired, not only from the journey, but also from whatever spoils she was lugging up all those stairs.

I wonder how long it would take with me in Cyrodiil to start missing elevators?

I finally got to see Vilja say some of my favorite lines of hers! This is exciting getting to see the end of her quests for version 3, and I wonder if you'll be getting version 4 to try out her new quests when this is over? (!)

That was awesome how you went out the window in TFC, I didn't know what would happen doing that - it was great !!!

Oh, and I finally get to see what is in Vilja's letters too - that has had my curiousity peaked for a while !!!

Heneri Hlaalu in a lightning storm, for a minute I thought we were in a haunted house. Yikes. She had some fun things to say about Vilja, though.

I was chuckling at Vilja’s complaint about bandit food. Just like a Nord.

Wow. Vilja seemed a lot happier once she got the melting daedra heart. That was quite a story she shared with Aravi. I wonder how Aravi’s meeting with Runar will go. Hopefully he won’t tempt her temper.

I really enjoyed the way you showed Aravi’s wait for the storm and for Vilja to think over what she was going to say. Vilja has had some annoying moments, but their friendship really shines here.

That Heneri, in her own way, is as creepy as her daughter! And it sounds like she has a streak of the Sheogorath in her – Cheese! Peanuts!

How sweet of Aravi to offer to help Vilja without even fully knowing the task. And how sweet the way Vilja feels about Aravi as described in her letter.

Gosh that was a long storm and you did a wonderful job of showing the passage of time. I was so relieved when Aravi finally got up from that chair to see she did not have a kink in her tail!

I perked up and was carefully watching as Aravi walked past the Cheydinhal stable – you know, looking for some of Superian’s brothers or sisters.

Great idea to turn the two letters into screens for us to linger over. Thanks!

@ Thomas Kaira:That sounds like a nice mod, I will keep it in mind. Then there will be a reason to not strip every plant in the area of ingredients. If I find us out in a beautiful field again I will add it.

As of now, I’m trying to avoid changing my game because I don’t have a lot of time to mess around with everything adding a new mod entails. I usually have to edit the Bash Patch.

That fatigue potion was one of the more useful potions Vilja has provided. Much of Aravi’s fatigue drain was from a disease. I have a mod running that makes the diseases in the game more potent.

@mALX: I’m not going to add version 4 just to be safe until after Vilja’s main questline is done. That way if something goes wrong (which I doubt) I won’t be SOL with my videos.

I’m glad you liked my camera zooming. I had some fun with that. And of course I try to keep everyone updated with any documents; I especially had to do that with this quest. Vilja had a lot to say and I couldn't get it all.

What a nice trip to the IC. Mud crab for lunch! Oh, we saw one of those the other day. . . . And a great swim. Your water looks great.

And Runar. . . what a smarmy worm! Grrrr! True gentleman?!? More like a disgusting pig methinks. I’m so glad Aravi didn’t give him a tumble. And Vilja’s so much better off without him.
