It’s nice that Vilja is trying to cheer Aravi up with some small talk. But… her favorite book is ABC for Barbarians? Did I hear that right? D’oh!

Praying for the Adventurers and blinking away her tears was quite touching. Aravi is clearly still upset, which is perfectly natural. What’s disturbing to me is that it’s interfering with her work. I had a feeling she was going to change her mind about shooting that bandit, after she sneaked past the sleeping Khajiit. (Good move closing the door behind her.) Declaring herself and leaving potential enemies at her back is a riskier course of action, but she has to find a way to sleep at night. I’m glad she’s wearing armor instead of the huntress outfit that Vilja always remarks upon.

It’s a shame one of the Adventurers didn’t have a note saying “The vampire is this way-->” or something.

There’s a fight up ahead! I wonder who it is? This is turning into a major sewer adventure!

Wow, you are really showing what Aravi is thinking and feeling so well. Praying, flowers, crying. Beautifully done!

Her tactical overcompensation at this point is very understandable and you show it both clearly and naturally. I hope she can move beyond it and focus more productively on some of the numerous ways to improve her ability to identify targets from long range.

In the meantime, you are certainly keeping us on the edge of our seats!

I’m glad you are enjoying the changes; I certainly do, even though they ended up hurting Aravi a lot. I was happy for the opportunity to show another side of Aravi.

@Grits: Vilja’s attempts at small talk are appreciated. I’m sure in the future; Aravi will remember Vilja and the support she offered.

I was happy when Aravi was willing to go back inside the sewers so soon after that, and then was horrified when I realized she really wasn’t ready to go back. It’s very risky for her to leave enemies, because there have been many times where she’s needed to retreat.

She can wear armor now because she has moved away from illusion and does not need 100% spell effectiveness.

@Acadian: Thank you Acadian! She didn’t know what else to do to honor the adventurers. They’ll never have a proper burial, she can’t do it.

What she needs to do is forgive herself and learn to trust herself again. Until she does that, she’ll be putting herself in more danger than she needs by trying to get close enough to every target to be absolutely sure.

I was hoping that we would get more vampire quests done, but she isn’t ready to be back in the thick of things.

Uh Oh, I saw that woman Simplicia described !! URK !!  Vampire disease !!! Holy cow, there are a ton of vampires there !!! Awesome Vid !!! I was tense all the way through it with Aravi using close range tactics. Bless her heart !!!

Wow! Your intentionally slow and lingering pace (which I loved) at the beginning beautifully drew out the suspense as we pretty clearly imagined what Aravi was thinking *gulp*. Then, sure enough, she kicks off an up close and personal instead of a hidden strike from range. I was so worried about her and Vilja vs THREE vampires! I couldn’t help but think of the total devastation to Aravi is she survived but Vilja did not. I so hope she regains her ranged confidence.

It is such fun to peek over Aravi’s shoulder as she decides what to loot. Buffy ignores those potions and goes straight for every apple and carrot she can find (for you know who).

Argh! More vamp disease from that robed sorcerer! She did a great job decreasing his lethality with those damage magicka poisons. I was glad to see Aravi give him a couple extra posthumous whacks.

I’m so pleased she got her nice sword back after being disarmed. I know she lost one once before.

Yikes, I was afraid that will-o-wisp was going to wander into the fight. Or was that some kind of glowy vampire thing? Ugh, and Aravi bumped into that hanging corpse! That made me jump. That was so nerve-wracking, watching Aravi creep up closer and closer before the fight. This is definitely the bloodier method of target acquisition.

Argh, for the next fight I was sure she’d get out her bow! The sewers are more interesting looking than a lot of ruins. I’ve never really looked around down there. Your choices about what to show as they sneak through have given a real sense of the place.

Vilja and Aravi really seem like a team here. I think it’s the way Aravi looks back and checks on her before they go into areas.

@mALX: I think that was her too. If Aravi hadn’t killed those adventurers, she might have taken a shot at her. She wants to be absolutely sure that every kill she makes isn’t another innocent though. She’s forcing herself to take a lot of risks, but she hates what she did, and she’s willing to take those risks. I really don’t think that she’s ready to be back in but realized that too late to turn back.

I got her to use it on a creature! It helped that it was a huge spider though. She hates them as much as I do.

@Acadian: Hey! I was pleased to see that you were able to make it over here before you fast traveled to Acadian Senior’s. You always seem to enjoy the videos most that I'm the least happy with. Lol.
She would be totally devastated if Vilja were killed, probably enough that she would soon end herself.

Heh, Aravi’s pretty strict about what she’s willing to eat, and she wouldn’t even allow a horse to eat an apple that was on a vampire living in the nasty sewers.

I’m kind of happy you pointed out that she bumped into the corpse, that got her full attention for a split second even in the middle of a fight.
I couldn’t believe that she made it that close to the vampires without being detected! I was sure she was going to be spotted.

The sewers aren’t a place I’ve spent a lot of time either. I’m pleased that there was a quest down there so I got to look around some. It makes me curious as to what else is down there.
Your team comment made me realize that they did do a pretty good job fighting together down there.

I can tell the death of those Adventurers has affected how Aravi is approaching enemies - she is close range fighting with everyone now - kind of a scary position to be put in when fighting vampires, but I understand why.

GAAAAH !!! That vampire didn't see her till VILJA had to run by him like a complete NINNY !!!

Did Aravi search the vampire in the mini-skirt and you edited it? GAAAH! I was dying to know what she had on her, lol.

One of the swords Aravi just picked up from a vampire is showing stolen, that is odd.

I like the sayings on the Journal Entries, whoever wrote them is really funny !!

I love that Weary Dagger. OK, that was funny when Vilja jumped onto the vampire then ran past in sneak mode. I’m glad he didn’t hurt Aravi too much after Vilja spoiled the surprise attack. Bow of Scorching, nice! The vampires should hate that.

OMG, what is she wearing?! Vampire bloomers? I’m with mALX, the Journal Entry made me smile. Whew, the tunnel out was a welcome sight.

Oh no, a lightning storm! So much for a relaxing post-mission walk home. Whoa, a strike right behind the Wawnet Inn! That was close. Hel-lo Nerussa. She’s had a makeover.

Poor Aravi looked like she was at her limit. She just threw her gear on the floor and climbed into bed in nothing but her fur. I guess the lightning storm was the last straw! Maybe she’ll get to go to the beach soon.

I really enjoyed the sewer saga. This was a great set of videos!

@mALX: I kind of suspected Vilja was going to do something like that. You have to talk to her to make her stay in place, and to do that, you have to stand up. So the options were get seen, or get seen.

Yes I edited it, she didn’t have anything interesting, but I’m sorry anyways. I keep forgetting you want to see the loot.

The journal entries are pretty funny, but they are kind of out of character for Aravi. Just pretend she didn’t write that.

More populated? Oh that’s a lodge that’s added by a hunting mod. There’s a woodelf merchant in there that has a lot of barter gold.

I can’t remember what mods I have running that would affect Nerussa. Maybe Cosmetic Compilation? That is very old on my load list though.

@Grits: That dagger was random loot added by Fran’s. Very nice one isn’t it? Aravi doesn’t get to use it much so I’m glad she put it to use in there.

Too bad Aravi didn’t use that bow. Whatever that vampire was wearing, it wasn’t lootable. Lol.
That lightning ruined Aravi’s plan of taking a bath right away. The rain got some of the nastiness off though.

You are right, she was totally exhausted. It would have been more appropriate if she had just fallen in bed, but that isn’t an available animation.

Sewer Saga. It wasn’t at all what I expected when we started it, that is for sure.

Huge relief to hear Vilja’s casual chatter when Aravi woke up. Ugh, Aravi was so ready to leave, but the storm! Aravi’s job is too stressful! You conveyed so much in this video, all in the Wawnet Inn. Amazing.
