Dawnbreaker. Aravi certainly has picked the right tool for this job. Those Draugr are easy to see even in the dark, thanks to their glowing eyes.

Whoa, that was weird how Kharjo just appeared in front of her. I guess the game finally decided to teleport him closer after Aravi went down into the pit.

Whew, those Draugr Scourges were tough to take down!

That Death Overlord almost got Aravi! He took at lot of killing to put down.

Oh darn, there is another one of those pesky dragons. But in the end, there can be only one.

Neat, Kharjo is going Two-Axes now.

Aravi and Kharjo do a good job clearing that mine of undead. Then a surprise dragon! Kharjo really has a tough job holding those dragons by the nose (and teeth) while Aravi rails the tar out of them from the sides. I guess he can’t complain that she never takes him somewhere warm.

I wonder if it's scripted to have a dragon encounter when you come out of the sinkhole. Had one on two different characters and the Aravi did herself... Hmm...

I see Aravi didn't fall for the obvious lever trap, good for her!

Oh, I remember this place! Jensa and Stenvar went through not long ago, and they had a dragon attack afterward, too! When Stenvar jumped down like Kharjo did, he got a little taste of Jensa’s steel. Oops.

That hawk sound at the beginning while the guy is telling Aravi that the mine is closed is what I’ve been hearing for days in my garden. The baby hawks have fledged, and they’re in the trees right by the house crying all day! If I didn’t have headphones for the video, I would have thought that was coming from outside.

Kharjo’s cape did look especially cool in this episode, as did Aravi’s when we could see it. Very cute when Aravi seemed to think, what does the third lever do? No, spikes! Don’t try it.

Oh, that Death Overlord was tough! When he came through the mist and I could see those tall horns, it made me nervous. Then Aravi out-Shouted him!! Awesome! Very scary when she has to break for a healing spell with so little health. Tripping over a deer skull might be fatal at that point! Ebony war axe, score! Maybe Kharjo could use a backup.

That fire dragon was beautiful! When it lashed its head like that, I thought it had Kharjo!! He gets right in those jaws with his axes.

All this happened between walking down one hill and up another. Just a little stroll through the Reach. A fun side trip to watch!

Your Draugrs are a LOT more powerful than mine, that must happen at higher levels - whew !! I've never been in this mine, not sure if I've found it yet! (it may be one of the 15 I've missed, lol). OOH! A ring called "Hands of Death !!! Never mind, it was "Ring of Deft Hands." ROFL !!! I went back and paused the vid, ROFL !!!

That dragon looked like it had Kharjo in his mouth and was shaking him like a rag - then suddenly it had ice shards sticking out of it and I knew Kharjo had made it through, lol.

Dawnbreaker put on a good show I think. It would have been nice if Aravi had a silver sword, but this was before she stared carrying one. Instead of teleporting him, I like to think that he finally got the courage to imitate Aravi’s leap down. Kharjo going dual axes was a neat surprise for me. Thanks Subrosa!

@Acadian: Your comment about someplace warm made me laugh. Poor guy gets that unpleasant job, but at least he’s well protected to do it! I totally agree with you on the cape, it look awesome on him with that armor. Thanks Acadian!

@liliandra nadiar: Welcome back! I think you are right about the scripted event, judging on the other posters and our experiences. Aravi knows she should let Kharjo go first, but she still feels protective of him. Lol. Thanks liliandra!

@Grits: Poor Stenvar! Aravi probably would have smacked him too, he’s the creepy guy right?

The capes look so cool, especially with Kharjo’s heavy armor. Yep, she avoided the poke this time! I was proud of Aravi when she took his shout head on and sent him flying with her own! I think everyone thought the dragon had Kharjo, I certainly did. Thanks Grits!

@mALX: Aravi is getting fairly high in levels. When you do the main quest you are almost guaranteed to go past that place unless you take the carriage to Markarth and travel from there, and even then you might hit it. Hands of death! what would that ring do? Sounds like it could be cool! I think one of the unfortunate guards was shook and thrown, thanks goodness it wasn’t Kharjo! Thanks mALX!

Aravi talks with Esbern at Skyhaven Temple and learns where she needs to go from there. Then while traveling she’s drawn into a fight with the forsworn.

I let the Hagraven go, she ran ahead in the crypt and took down all the enemies except Petra - great loot !!! The fight was too dark for me to see what was going on, but I LOVED the frenzy spell Aravi used to wear Petra down first !! Awesome vid !!

Blind Cliff Bastion. It sounded like Aravi was hocking up a giant spit when she used that aura shout!

Petra and Melka. I can understand Aravi shaking her head. She sounds like she is looking for her... precious... Still, she can be handy in a fight.

She shoved her sword right up that Forsworn's butt!

There is Petra. A little Frenzying never hurt no one. Except that forsworn that Petra killed... Uh oh, here come the fireballs. How did she get down on the ground level? Well, no matter, Aravi made short work of her once she got those twin blades out, as always.

That scene up on the mountain after talking with Esbern was epic. The music sounded the wonderful music from Oblivion!

Gollum (from ‘The Hobbit’)! “Prittie! Let me out kind, kind meat!” The ole headshake was just the right answer methinks!

I’m so glad Aravi can see her world as pink glows now!

I was so sure the curious cat would activate that third handle in the row of three, even after the door was opened. I was wrong!

I bet she was out magic-gunned by that Petra. Aravi was really wise to not try and trade spells, opting for what she’s best at. Steel to flesh FTW!

That was a beautiful day at Sky Haven Temple. I love how the mountains look with the mist. It was neat to hear Esbern talking about his dream.

Ugh, Hagravens. Melka didn’t do a very good sales job, calling Aravi “flesh” and “meat.” Oh, Petra jumped down and went after Kharjo! I couldn’t tell, was that a decapitation?! It made me think of what Vilja used to say, “You leave my friend alone!” Aravi charged in like Savlian!

Aravi's versatility was really on display here. Figuring out the traps, stealth, Calm, a little well-timed Frenzy, archery, and then two blades for the finish. Yay!

@mALX: Aravi wasn’t comfortable with letting someone that was safely locked in a cage out when they were referring to her as ‘flesh’ and ‘meat.’ The Khajiit night eye isn’t perfect, there are times where it is too bright to use and almost too dark to not use. Thanks mALX!

@SubRosa: I don’t know why his voice was different, but it didn’t break any quests.

Aravi didn’t trust the hargraven. Better to leave her in the cage than to have two hargravens to worry about.

Withdrawing the sword I must admit did look pretty awkward… I think that was meant to be in the lower back, but Aravi is smaller than a normal Khajiit. Her hands clip into tables and such when she’s using furniture.

I was rather proud of Aravi’s quick work on the final hargraven. Thanks SubRosa!

@Acadian: I love that scene too! She was up there quite a while after she talked to Esbern, it was so peaceful.

If you want someone to help you, don’t make them feel like food! Aravi already knew what that third lever did, so no need to pull it.

I think even trying to trade arrows with Petra would have ended poorly, and Aravi quickly closed in to do what she does best. Thanks Acadian!

@Grits: I think Aravi would like to join them up on that mountain. The area is just beautiful. Unfortunately, the blades are treating the Dragonborn like a foot soldier and sending her off to collect more stuff. I feel like the hierarchy has been inverted.

You are absolutely right about Melka, she had a very slim chance of getting out of there at the start, and she destroyed that too with her wording. It was not a decap, it was a stab of some type. I loved your mentioning of Vilja and Sav. Thanks Grits!

Aravi and Kharjo have been in the Rift as of late. They’ve explored quite a bit of territory over the course of a week (in game).

In the northern reaches of the Rift, on the border of Eastmarch. High Hrothgar and the Throat of the World are visible. Windhelm, a city she’s yet to visit, was in view also, but not in that picture.

Farther south, they found a large cave to explore. Inside, they were attacked by six bears at once. Aravi’s fast blades and Kharjo’s strong armor allowed the two of them to come out unscathed, and Kharjo seems to be surprised and thrilled.

Taking a day out of exploring the more dangerous areas, Aravi swims in the warm waters of the lakes and rivers west of Riften.

Sometimes a fight is unavoidable, and while she was exploring the woods near the bank of the river, she and Kharjo had to drive off some of the wildlife.

Her day of exploring and swimming ended with a chilly rainstorm near Ivarstead. Kharjo has spotted the inn. There are warm fires and friendly faces inside.

These two are my absolute faves in the set, and I can't pick one over the other between them - All Awesome shots though !!!

I love the grey colors in the Kharjo and bears one. He rocks that ebony armor! And Aravi swimming! She looks like she’s having a blast.

But my favorite is the rainy one with the torches. It really looks like Kharjo has just turned his head to suggest the inn.

Great screens! Love Aravi sitting atop that mountain. And Kharjo looks so good in that heavy armor! Oh and the swimming one is so neat. Wow, what a great capture getting Aravi with an arrow halfway between her quiver and bow!

The last one at night is amazing. Whether Aravi realizes it or not, A&K are a beautiful couple.

Like the others, I love that second pic, of Kharjo grinning in his ebony armor. He looks like just caught a tuna in the nearby water!

Aravi looks happy in her swimming pic. A very cleverly framed shot too I might add, as it still leaves everything to the imagination. One of the things I like best about version 1.6 is that they got rid of the green fogging underwater, and now you can see crystal clear.

That mid-loading pic is so neat! I have never seen that before.

Aravi loves swimming, cat stereotypes aside. Part of how I got that picture was I zoomed the camera way out so it was still above the water before freezing the scene. It looks slightly different that way, and I think it makes looking up at the surface from below very pretty.

I hadn’t seen that loading animation like that before either. That was an exercise in timing. Thanks SubRosa!

If Aravi has tiger blood (and not in a Charlie Sheen kind of way) then it would make sense that she likes the water. My Freya does not especially like water, but she does not mind it either. She will sit on the rim of the tub when I take a bath and her tail will fall into the water. She does not bat an eye. Or she will stand directly under me as I dry off, with water dripping all over her, and not move an inch.

I love how with 1.6 you can be underwater and look up to see the mountains and trees through the water. That is one of the coolest things of the newest version.

Looks like Aravi found Karthwasten, and the good old Silver Bloods. I hated them the moment I met them. One of the things I like about the mine quest is that you can either go in and kill everyone, or you can talk the mercs out of there. However you want to play it.

She Fus'ed him! That really did have me laughing out loud! Aravi does rock! Well, that did not take long. What is that weird spell with the red effects that Aravi was using? Was that a fear spell? It looks like it blows up, which has me confused.

That was a weird fight on the road past Dragon Bridge. Was that a Stormcloak that ran past? I ran into one of those Wood Elf baddies who summons a flame astronaut with Andraste a few nights back. Where Calm does not work, trust your Ebony Bow!

Am I the only one who sees the name Morthal and thinks Morthal Kombat!!!

I always liked Jarl Idgrod's outfit.

Simple pleasures – I was struck by hearing a fly buzzing around a couple times; how neat!

I agree that Aravi rocks! After her first opening fight, I liked how she used Kharjo and they worked for a time as a classic tank / archer-mage team.
