Niamh's gone off to Caldera.
Two reasons really, the first is that Kendral and her father were from Morrowind and she kind of feels she owes it to the both of them to find, and terminate - (with extreme prejudice) - the vampire covens that she knows, despite what the locals say, are about the environs of caldera.

She arrived very early in the morning and following a brief rest began asking around. Previous adventures in Morrowind involving the garnering of information on vampires had always left her with the curious feeling that the inhabitants really rather enjoyed "talking about not talking about them".
Things have not changed, and various nods and winks later she found herself outside the settlement, and inside a cave...

...and guess what...?

----

The second reason, one that she did not want to admit, but needed to face was the laying to rest finally of a ghost from her past, and hence the visit is not only a release from earthly shackles - (albeit unwillingly on their part) - of the "Wamphyri" - but an exorcism for her, as well.

Well she does yes, but on this occasion she is actually visiting there from Cyrodiil, there is a portal in the Mages' Guild there...

Heh - it's the Vampire Hunting Order extension by David Brasher.
Or - he did a Caldera mod as well.

I'll be finally starting Jack soon!

Just to recap to those who missed it!

I'm going to only post here from now on with my new charcter.

Beth admins have annoyed me(not allowing NPC Convo threads all of a sudden, not allowing What are you listening to threads, etc)

Name:Jack Dennius

Age:18

Height:5''11

Weight:180lbs

Bio:Jack was apart of a rich noble family back in Skyrim, and well,he wasn't the nicest of kids,he was basically a rich snobish bully, yet he still had many friends, because of his money, but all of his other friends were also rich snobs. His mother and father couldn't be any more diffrent, they were kind, loving, generous souls,Jack took them for granted,he didn't know how good he had it until that faithful Sundas in Sun's Dawn, the farm just outside of Whiterun, the farm where jack lived was raided and destroyed. But that wasn't all Jack's parents were killed and Jack was almost kidnapped but he ran away, the invaders were there to kidnap Jack, kill no one and put him up for ransom, but thanks to a bumbling bandit who knocked over a candle setting the place on fire,an angry bandit who attempted to kill the bumbling bandit accidently shot Jack's mother and had to kill his father who ran at him.Now this isn't a revenge story, this isn't a story of a knight or wizard, this is the story a young man with a small amount of skill when it comes to blades,no skill in armour or magic or anything else really, trying to make it in an unfamiler world with little to no money.

Jack knows he'll never find the bandits who killed his parents,Jack knows they've died in vain,Jack knows he shouldn't of acted in the ways he did,Jack wants to change, well a little atleast.

Jack wants another thing to,his fourtune,he wants to be a noble,he couldn't stay in Skyrim,so he sneaked onto a boat to Cyrodiil,he has the mentallilty of fiddy, coz Jack is going to get rich or die trying.

Hopefully the former.

Yes I made a 50 Cent refrence in an Oblivion charcter bio.

Today has been, well let's see shall we?

LEYAWIIN:
She never really thieved anymore, but still she liked to keep her hand in - that Thieves' Guild thing was still hanging about since ages ago and you never knew when it might come in handy. So occasionally she would break into somewhere just to prove to herself that she still could.

And so it was that she found herself in the Count of Leyawiin's private residence, the way in had been no trouble; the power of her will flowed through her, focusing at her finger tips, she had both heard and felt the lock click, and the door softly open.
Now, she stood outside the Count's personal sanctum, against the wall, behind the guard the standing, bored, on duty there.
She could smell the metallic tang of his armour, the musty scent of leather, and the sweaty smell of his skin beneath. He had a large boil on his neck and he smelt vaguely of onions and cabbage.

She'd been standing behind him for some time now, utterly silent, the sneak suit muffling any movements she made and rendering her all-but invisible to the any but the most keen-eyed observer.
The guard suspected nothing, merely shifted occasionally from foot-to-foot, and quietly clearing his throat.
Occasionally another guard would unlock the door and pass out, or enter through it, and her heart would, even through her confidence, thrill with the idea that she could still be found out.

All was quiet now, and Niamh, close enough to have stolen his undershorts had she a mind too, instead raised her hand and...
...with the tip of one long, gloved finger oh-so-gently lifted up the back of the guard's helmet, causing the front of it to slip down over his eyes.
The man's breath caught in his chest and he spun around, fumbling with his helmet and half drawing his sword out of it's scabbard.

Niamh was already down the corridor and out of the door onto the balcony overlooking the main space of the castle entrance area.
"Still got it..." She grinned to herself. She'd not even stolen anything either.
Her slender frame slid catlike down the stairs and out of the main door, an apple disappearing from a table as she passed it.
Well, almost nothing.

THE NEXT DAY:
The morning did not start well, a bout of Vampire's Disease during the night had kept her awake, despite the spells that she had woven about herself and when the light, milky where it filtered through the city's fogs, found it's way through her window, she lay sweating and exhausted upon the damp sheets.
Things did not improve, following a hurried breakfast of ale and a vial of skooma, she located her horse at the stables just outside the gate and purposed to make her way north to Bravil, and Luciana; for whom she had increasingly felt a desire to be with for longer than just a night or a few meagre hours snatched between "business".

She encountered dreugh on her way, but galloped through the first group, coming upon the second though she stopped on a whim to help out a young forester who was beset by them.
This was a mistake as, whilst helping - (for no concrete reason) - another of the creatures attacked her horse, wounding it before she could get there.

The dreugh lay dead, it's chitinous exoskeleton clicking and grinding as it rolled away down the hill towards the water. She looked at the horse, which returned her gaze with dewy, mournful eyes. Blood was flowing freely from a nasty looking gash on it's haunch.
Niamh sighed, "Stupid animal." She said, though she didn't really mean it. She remembered her last horse, years ago, felled by a wolf.
She stroked it's nose and turning, looked down at the road, empty now but for the shrimp-like carcasses of the dreugh.
"This is why ah should nevva help people." She shook her head. "It jes leads ta trubble, so it does."
Still Bravil, and Looch, was not far off; there was that.

Having staunched the flow of blood and cleaned the wound as best as she could she mounted the now less-than enthusiastic horse and carried on along the road. Wanting to get home, her head still thumping from the previous night's illness; judgement clouded by even less sleep than was normal for her, not to mention the skooma pumping through her body, she could be forgiven for pushing her wounded mount beyond it's capacities.
Push she did, and upon arriving at 2 Troll bridge, not far south of Bravil, the inevitable happened.

In attempting to leap the creatures blocking the entrance to bridge she exposed the horse's flanks and underside to attack. Already weak from injury and bloodloss, her mount simply could not cope with her demands and, as the first of many slashing claws ruptured it's flesh it fell to the bridge, neighing in it's pain.
Instinct took over and Niamh rolled lithely forward over the horse's neck as it went down, using her momentum to carry her up onto her feet as she hit the rough wooden planks of the bridge.

She took off at a run then, there was no way she could have dealt with the trolls at that point, and though she regretted leaving the horse to it's fate with the stinking, whooping creatures, in the end it was her, or it...

Bravil, Sun´s Dawn 15, 3E 437

Finally! It had taken him a long time, but now Lothran was at long last in Bravil! His time in the Imperial City didn´t cut it as short as he had hoped, but at least the walk alongside the river bank was pleasant. Well, that was before the next day when he got out of his tent at the long-abandoned dock and the rain was pouring down!

But once inside the gates of Bravil, the sun emerged from behind the clouds and the Nordic Dunmer enjoyed a fine day in Cyrodiil´s oldest town .

@Phon - Tell Niamh to go visit Lothran! He has a home in Bravil! happy.gif

Lildereth explored a fort today for the purpose of trying out some new voices. We both find her howling like a banshee when hit to be a little disruptive. The running commentary was different, but not better. Her solution (directed at me) was to not get hit so much.

Anyway on the way back home she kept a fear spell handy for wolves. When she arrived at the Goblet she found one of the horses out. So she cast a command spell to bring him back where he belongs. Only she still had the fear spell loaded.

Oops.

Lildereth does not move very fast up hills. A black horse is certainly faster, especially a frightened one. Also this was one of the resident Nord ladies’ horses, so she couldn’t just hop on and ride it back. That seemed rude.

Also it was raining. Funnily enough she decided to sleep outside instead of in her room.

Heh, I see mirocu banished the rain from Bravil by sending it to Chorrol!

Grits, Buffy uses a custom spell to get horses to trail along behind her. Command creature magnitude 2 x 120 seconds on target. Then she puts a tiny (3) feather on self component in the spell so she has a little arc timer to see how long the spell has left and knows when to recast it. Since normal horses are level 1, the very low magnitude of the command aspect of the spell ensures that it costs very little to cast. Of course, since Buffy's specialization is illusion it costs even less. She's had legion horses that have had their riders killed follow her and Superian from the middle of nowhere all the way to the nearest town that way. Same with Black Horse Courier horses. kvright.gif

It's a lovely thought, but unlikely to happen.
Let's just say that narratively, we are entering a fairly harrowing period of revelation between the two, Niamh and Looch; much of which will not appear on here or the other forum in it's original format at least.

Your humble narrator is moving into territories marked, hitherto, on the map with the legend "Here Be Dragons".

Suffice it for the moment to say that there are reasons why Niamh is the way she is...

I just need to figure out how to write it down.

I set up the AI for all the Wobbly horses and both sheep to follow anyone with an apple in their inventory. The more apples you carry the stronger the pull will be to your character. Maxical carries 3, and they follow her around every time she is there. The barrel along the fence has 20 apples that respawn, so even Jerric can't eat them all, lol.

Lady Saga is in Chorrol, still dragging Erthor around. The two spent several days getting from Bleak Flats Cave to Chorrol, and managed to plunder an Ayleid ruin full of rats & imps, a bandit cave called Broken Promises (which had what looked to be an interrupted party at its front door--beer & ale bottles everywhere), and a goblin cave whose name escapes me. This cave is just west of Chorrol, though.

Erthor complains that he'd rather be back in Skingrad, but seems to be enjoying his adventuring, Saga thinks. She can see the battle lust in his eyes whenever he gets to summon another scamp, and attack another set of enemies.

EDIT, hours later: Saga made Level 2 in Crumbling Mine just outside of Chorrol. She got a genuine +5 +5 +5, too, which I dumped into Strength, Intelligence, and Endurance.

Erthor is actually pretty good on the battlefield, mostly because he often summons a scamp. There have been several times she'll get a sneak shot with her bow, but doesn't see the two or three other enemies in the next room. She's not very good yet with multiple enemies, so she usually has to run back to where she's left Erthor. He takes over from there, and Saga can start using her bow again.

I really like Erthor. He's handy with his spells, plus his trash talk is funny.

Today Abiene went shopping. She is no fighter, so she brought along her friend Baurus the Kind from mALX’s Wobbly Goblet mod. He is super nice, carries a big sword, and reminds her of another blond Nord.

When they got home to the Chapel of Stendarr Abiene realized that Baurus the Kind would probably get in trouble if he followed her into the chapel quarters while she put away her things, so she asked him to wait. (This is our first time with a recruited follower.) He wanted more specific instructions so she told him to just relax.

And that’s what he did.

What... are you doing?

Getting comfortable. Want a snack?

Well, if you can't beat them...

No, he was in full (awesome) armor! His dialog was something like "This gear was getting heavy anyway" and then wham! Shirtless. That's his sleeping outfit from the WG. Abiene is going to give him a shirt for around town, but... not just yet. hehe.gif
