QUOTE(Grits @ Aug 22 2013, 09:37 AM) Wobbly Maintenance: I have an unusual amount of free time today, so I’m going to move us forward. DE, I think Irvana is the only one waiting for a response from someone? If you and Liz want to continue after the rest have moved on I see no problem with that. Just put “Last Night” or something in your header or make a side thread if you’re going to have an extended interaction. Also I don’t have a post ready yet, so you still have time.
Real Estate Opportunities and NPC Expansion: I’m thinking of filling out the area around the Goblet and occupying some of those outbuildings. Smithy, apothecary, perhaps a small general merchant. Also guest cottages for those characters who might need more privacy than a public inn provides. Any suggestions?
I’d like to use a Morrowind-looking character or two in the new bunch. Does anyone want to volunteer some screenshots? I still can’t get the game to work on this damnable laptop, which is a shame because I had a very pretty (because of a mod) redheaded Imperial that I would have used.
Are you talking about actually adding them on the mod or just the RP? Because the property along the city wall across from the Wobby is owned by the Wobbly, and there is room for a few little buildings there. I also have some of those "Selling Carts with awnings" I can set up around there and stick some merchandise on (ale, meats, "My parents went to the Wobbly and all I got was this f'n stein" souvenirs, etc)

If they have Starbucks' and Pizza Huts inside Target, why not follow the principle? Most likely would be best to have the proprietor's as NPC's, but perhaps offer 'guest writers' to paint the picture. Perhaps a small side RP as a capital venture regarding their construction, appearance and hiring a shopkeeper? If accounting and other mundane tasks can be considered RP matierial. QUOTE(Acadian @ Aug 22 2013, 07:20 AM) I'm sure some retired follower of Azura would be happy to open a local Moon & Starbucks.
LOL! Should probably specify: I didn't mean to necessarily open the smaller business' *inside* the tavern. Just noting how these megacorps are slowly merging into one entity!

mALX I’m thinking RP with visuals from different games and possibly real life photos and scribblings. I’m afraid if Abiene brings one more cat back to the mod she’ll melt my laptop, lol. I hope your migraine goes away soon. Oh, and I meant to tell you! Nardhil wandered by when Abiene was outside playing with Oscar (the orange cat) yesterday. She sat on the bench by the shrubs for a while and then walked back to the stable. It was awesome! Acadian, that’s the thought that had me up in the middle of the night searching for a Weynon Village mod. Then I realized it would be more fun to build an imaginary one. (Also I blame the recent school supply buying expedition. Graph paper makes me want to draw squiggly lines.) Moon and Starbucks! There’s also that ruin nearby that our assassins have appropriated for disposal purposes. There’s probably a tradition at the Priory for someone to stop by periodically and bless whatever remains have been chucked there, and that got me thinking. Blackie: AWESOME. Thank you! Your Morrowind screenshots are absolutely gorgeous and very inspiring. Expect maximum creative license when I get my thoughts together. Wow! This is exciting. I like your idea for side-quests and guest writers. Maybe NPC proprietors who could partner with characters when folks are interested. That way there would be a coherent vision for the community and no long lapses when players are busy, but there would be a lot more for players to actually do. Lol on the accounting. I realized early on that I was not interested in chasing everyone down with a bill! ETA: Moon & Starbucks . This post has been edited by Grits: Aug 22 2013, 05:04 PM

There’s also that ruin nearby that our assassins have appropriated for disposal purposes. There’s probably a tradition at the Priory for someone to stop by periodically and bless whatever remains have been chucked there, and that got me thinking. I deliberately ran priority paths to that bench and up the main sidewalk so any NPC's traveling on the road would be drawn in - ran them the entire length of road within the Wobbly's two cells. I've seen Nardhil there several times on that bench. Honditar stops in there on his way to Weynon Priory, (part of Honditar's AI package) but doesn't sit on the bench. Countess Leyawiin stops in at the Inn with her entourage as well, she doesn't sit on the bench, but her handmaiden does. Her guard is friendly, but asks the player to help them out with Mazoga if you haven't done the quest, lol. On their return trip the Countess's horse used to get stuck in the stables till I built that second gate in, now she just rides on though and leaves the gate open. I could run some priority paths from the Weynon Priory over to the WG to lure the NPC's there to the inn, although that would kind of make the mod dirty - invading other cells it didn't own. (but can't run any priority paths to the ruin, or all the people coming to the Wobbly would visit the ruin too, and in some people's games there will be an Oblivion gate there). Peace and Calm, lightly medicated Squirrel!! We're not talking about *those* screenshots. Which I assure you once again were destroyed. And are definitely not on a back-up SD card hidden in my watch! *Bops on head with Stick of Peacefulness and Calmness.* Mrs. Grits requested screenshots of Morrowind-ish Characters in her first post concerning Spring Cleaning of the Wobbly Goblet RP-Verse. Being that I am seasoned and knowledgeable of the requested task, it was obvious to me that I, and I alone could answer this call to destiny. She merely acknowledged my claim to awesominity, and expressed gratitude to my offer. No artistic direction = No screenshots yet. This post has been edited by Black Hand: Aug 22 2013, 09:32 PM

Nope, I was talking about his awesome Morrowind screen shots in his Fan Art Forum thread Rediscovering Morrowind and also the illustrations in his stories. Edit: Yeah, what he said. This post has been edited by Grits: Aug 22 2013, 09:31 PM
