Good point, KC. Also there’s the time issue. We’re using the real date to keep time moving in the tavern. With separate threads we won’t get bogged down if the adventures move slower.

QUOTE(King Coin @ May 28 2013, 10:01 PM) I'm fine with skipping to the cave as soon as we wrap things up in the Goblet. How big of a nest do we want to take on? I'd say 12 feral vamps at most and I know DE expressed interest in controlling a master vampire or something. I'm fine with that. Do we want to have zombies and skeletons too, or just have vampires? I've cleared Black Rock Caverns with everyone already, but just to make it official, We're Going HereAnd I'm suggesting a different thread for the Cave just to keep this from cluttering up the Goblet. The Goblet is the social RP, not a fighting RP. Twelve sounds good to me, and one master. I'm feeling pretty outclassed here, considering Kayla is the only non-wolf in the group, but a few zombies and skeletons won't be an issue. Maybe each of our characters gets three apiece, and we take turns taking shots at the master. I don't want one person taking all the glory.

Guilty explanation:
I was having trouble making the listed staff, that many NPC's in one building would have dropped the FPS's down to single digits.
So I started out making the ones we would deal with most as described, but ended up with issues there too. Not sure why the Bosmer Ostler crashed the CS, but he did. As soon as I removed him the mod stabilized again.
I've used Eyja and Vinja in every mod with NPC's I've ever made, they are second nature for me - so I planned originally just to set them up in there and get them working, then change their names and races to match the staff list.
Well, by the time I got everything working, I just couldn't do it. I was kind of afraid to mess with all that hard work and end up causing the whole thing to crash around my ears.
If anyone wants to, they can go into the mod in the CS and change the names/races of the 5 NPC's to any Grits listed in those jobs - try it if you want to and let us know if it creates any problems - I really don't know if causes issues or not, but was afraid to find out.
I'm afraid it may break their references and they could stop working their AI packages, etc. It was just too much risk to take after all that work.
What I was thinking to make up the difference is that I can write Eyja's parts in the RP as a customer who makes her income by hustling customers for armor/weapons repairs in the daytime (and possibly hustling them for paid favors at night).

QUOTE(Grits @ Jun 1 2013, 09:49 PM) mALX, I have not found my game disc yet. I need to toss The Boy's room. I suspect he has it. Vampire hunters, you can have Nora come in and talk to you if you like. She knows where Irvana said she was attacked. I want to hear if anyone finds them, lol. (and what people think of the Inn).

mALX, you have done a wonderfully amazing job here! Kudos to you! The mod looks great and I sure enjoyed the videos! The only problem I have is that I don't have Oblivion for the PC Doesn't mean I can't still admire, though. In regards to the RP itself, wouldn't it be wise to time skip to the new location in the new thread so we wouldn't have to waste anymore time? We want that social aspect of the RP, right? Lets do battle, get it done, and come back!

QUOTE(Grits @ Jun 2 2013, 02:29 PM) OK, I'll do a staff post at the end of the weekend to move the inn's time along. Do you vampire hunters plan to return to the inn after the adventure? When your cave thread splits off you can always bring your characters back to the inn before your cave adventure actually finishes. That way your characters won't get stalled in the cave time-wise. Isn't Kayla's birthday at the end of the summer? I'd hate for her to miss her party. Sure thing! QUOTE(King Coin @ Jun 2 2013, 03:20 PM) Aravi's coming back. She has some unfinished business with Abiene.
I bet she has indeed! Interesting to see how it'll play out. QUOTE(Elisabeth Hollow @ Jun 2 2013, 03:54 PM) Hahaha! Yeah, it is. Twenty fifth of Last Seed lol
Irvana can sing a song and play her violin for Kayla!

QUOTE(King Coin @ Jun 2 2013, 04:14 PM) We need to plan it first! We only know how many enemies and what kinds right now. I haven't really thought much about how they are going to be distributed and how organized they will be yet. If you have ideas, do share.
Most will be sleeping. So unless Kayla or Aravi are the type of girls to slit an enemie's throat as they rest, we can have them wake up with the barks and snarls of wolves which vamps typically keep as pets, perhaps to guard the lair as they sleep. As for organized, they will be led by a single patriarch. A man who turned some of them, and placed himself as a leader. They follow him but they're not as organized as a deadly group. Overall they're unstable and suffer from bloodlust. Like the ones from the quest "Information At a Price."
