Lyranth was a player in the game's overall Cold Harbour main questline as well. She half had my elf convinced that her name was 'Little Mortal' instead of Buffy. tongue.gif

Oh, and Captain Rian Liore of Leyawiin is one of the very few NPC's in the game that can cause Buffy's heart to speed up a bit just by looking at her. wink.gif
I remember her for a little bit. I completed the main quest ages ago. She does have a memorable personality, that's for sure.

Can't wait to meet Captain Rian Liore! Does Buffy see any similarities to Liore and Savlian Matius?

DE, love your avatar! Jerric enjoyed the Blackwood questline. He returns occasionally just to ride around.

Here's some news from the Crown Store Showcase.

Returning to the Crown Store in February:

Snow Bear—February 5, 2026, to February 12, 2026. This is an ESO Plus Discount item.

Snow Bear Cub—February 5, 2026, to February 12, 2026. This is an ESO Plus Discount item.
Thanks Grits! That's Draken Decentius. I've been playing around with AI slop cinematic videos and making CGI-versions of my in game characters. Had a few Oblivion and Skyrim characters "brought to life". But that's a separate project altogether lol.

I bet he did! I am actually very excited to get started with the Blackwood Questline. Though I've revisted Oblivion remastered and got to scratch the TES IV itch, I always love new lore and going back in time to familiar places. And let's be honest, who doesn't want to teach Mehrunes Dagon another lesson?

I'd check the store but I fear I'll be broke with all the fun stuff. Fun fact: if there's an item you want but you can't obtain it via normal means in the store, you can personally reach out to Zenimax customer service and request those items in your character account as long as you have the crowns and let them know. But . . . you didn't hear it from me. I've had items and a nice little home in one of the Oblivion realms when they were taken off the market.

She does. I'm sure that is a big part of what draws her to him. Similar to Savlian, Rian is clearly a brave warrior who takes his duty to his city very seriously. Buffy is drawn to brave/noble men who can and do protect what is important to them.

It also doesn't hurt that Rian is quite handsome and openly fancies Buffy.

That new High Isle house in the Crown store is gorgeous! I don't usually buy Crown exclusive house (Tel Galen excepted of course) due to the price, but that one...

Ooh, I'm really tempted!

That makes sense. Can't ever go wrong with with honorable warriors who put others before themselves. She has good taste.

I didn't get a chance to check it out yet. I swear I've spent a lot of cash on the ESO homes.

Don't forget to grab the free gift ZOS is giving away. Transmutes, gold etc.

Link here: https://www.elderscrollsonline.com/en-gb/news/post/69509

TL/DR Go to Crown store, redeem code, type in - U49GIFT

Thank you, Burnt! I saw that in game in the crown store popup but when I went to the store, I had no idea what the code was - so I wrote it off. Thanks to your post, I just went into game and got it no problem. Thanks again!

Edit: Ah, I see the reason for my earlier frustration. The bundle was available early this morning when Buffy did writs. . . but the official forum post on how to redeem is timestamped several hours later. Nice stuff! smile.gif

What an exciting time to be playing ESO. Look at the new updates we’re getting!

They sold me on deep-sea fishing and ship battles!
Burnt Sierra
Yep, I actually watched it live. Since the new people heading the direction of ESO have come in, I can honestly say it's the most positive I've been about the direction of the game since I began playing. I know some people (yes I lurked and saw your comment on the official forums Arcadian) are dubious/not keen on the upcoming Night Market, but I tested it on the PTS and honestly thought it was some of the best content I've played in ESO - can't wait for it to go live. Grits, you in particular are going to love it.
Acadian
DE, thanks for posting that link! I'm not able to watch any of the Twitch stuff live.

Burnt, I was simply commenting on the descriptions of those three factions in that thread - not the Night Market itself. I honestly have no idea really what the Night Market is about so appreciate your endorsement. smile.gif

I was having a little fun, not being serious tongue.gif I read your "Ewww" comment just before posting biggrin.gif

As for the Night Market, it's different. I honestly don't think I can compare it to anything else. I loved it. As you and Buffy like soloing Dungeons, you might well too. Imagine harder group content, some can be soloed. some can't, unique rewards for the different kinds of content. You don't need to do all of it (but as a guild meet night for example, we totally could, though we might want to make sure we've all chosen the same faction - I'm not entirely sure how that will look like live yet)
Acadian
I watched almost all of the link that DE posted and there was lots of goodness in there. smile.gif

If you love it, and you think Grits will love it = that means hard combat. verysad.gif

Burnt Sierra
Well, hardER combat. From what they said, they've actually reduced the difficulty from what I experienced on the PTS. But, it's designed for a group of players, not to go in and solo everything yourself. And it's going to be very popular with a lot of people doing it, so you'll always have a lot of people around. If I remember correctly, its instanced and there'll be 36 players per instance.

And I've seen videos of people soloing it as well. Add in another 35, that difficulty isn't so intimidating.

But, and this is why I don't think we'll have any problems getting you to join us in this endeavour...

https://eso-hub.com/en/guides/how-to-get-nights-den-house

Free house, and upgradeable from doing tasks in there. And it looked a really cool house.

Along with unique dyes, sets, skill styles, monster helms and who knows what other rewards they'll throw in there. There's guaranteed to be a Golden Pursuit around it too I expect. But mainly for the free house lol.

Do we all have to be in the same faction to play together? Are the Factions just different instances or are they like PvP where other Factions will actually be fighting us in there?

If you choose a Faction going in, are you locked into that Faction from then on? And if we all have to be in the same Faction, should we discuss on here which to join so we can play together as a Guild at the Meets?

Acadian
The question about having to be in the same faction was asked on the official forum. A poster who has been on PTS said no, differing factions can fight together against the baddies so if we go in together for a guild meeting it seems like we should not have to be in the same faction - assuming what that poster reported is the case.

Regarding changing factions, I get the impression from PTS posters that you can't change factions for the duration of a Night Market - which will normally be several weeks. Then that Night Market is done. The event will be a repeating event though and the next time it comes back, you can choose a different faction if you like. At least that is what I think I'm gleaning from those on PTS.

Yep, so they've said whichever faction you pick, you're locked into that for the duration of the event (End of April to June something). They're planning on bringing it back at least twice more (once towards the end of this year confirmed) with the aim that people will choose a different faction for future run throughs. As for the factions themselves, it doesn't really matter which you pick, it doesn't effect being able to play with others. Each faction gives slightly different rewards, so for the first run through just pick the one with the rewards you want most/ like the sound of.

It's not going live until April 29th (I think) and there'll be plenty more information closer to the time.
mALX
Okay, so one more question ... can you have different characters play different factions like we do in Cyrodiil?

OH! And one more question after that: where do we go see what each faction's prizes are?

EDIT: Never mind, I found the answer to both questions, lol. Factions are account wide.

Grits
I've been checking this thread throughout the day, and now that I'm at my laptop I see all my questions have been answered. Sweet! Excellent news that no matter what faction we choose to support we can play together anyway.

I am very much looking forward to the Night Market. I think we're going to have a lot of fun with it!

Today I went to upgrade my Tome and saw that it is a cash transaction from within the game. That made me wonder if the upgrade would carry across to the other server or need to be purchased twice per account if you play on EU and NA. So I tried it out. The upgrade I purchased on NA is also good for EU. Whew!

I'd also wondered that. My yearly sub renewed last month, so I got 13 cache thingys and 13 premium thingys (extreme technical terms), so I used the 12 premium to upgrade straight away for this season so i could see the difference, and worked on both servers for me too. I'd saved all my crafting writs for all six characters on both servers from yesterday, so i could get double the amount of Anniversary boxes today, so I've just spent the last 5 hours doing writs and opening boxes blink.gif wacko.gif

Good news is I've gotten 2,000 tome points already just from doing that. Bad news is I never want to see another crafting writ as long as I live biggrin.gif (Until tomorrow, but I won't be doing anywhere near as many.)

Initial thoughts on this new system is it looks quite promising. The rewards in the Season pass are quite good. The rewards in the Gold Coast Bazaar aren't really to my taste if I'm honest, but that's been true of 90% of events I've done so far too (Earthbone Ayleid excepted, which I'm still wearing even now - and both Guild Banks are overflowing with that now too!) On that, I did a little bit of stacking in both Guild Banks. NA in particular is getting very full.

Uh ... can you be a little more technical on what thingies you bought and how; and how they worked for you? How do you know if your annual membership gave you thingies or not? Because I paid mine last year, so should I even bother looking?

What exactly are premium and cache thingies and why do you need 13 of them? What are they and what do they do? How do you use them? Is there a link anyone can post that spells it out for dummies? laugh.gif

Burnt Sierra
What, thingys wasn't technical enough?

Scroll down to ESO+ bonuses.

One Cache of Tome Points (containing 2,000) per month of membership. These are the same tome points you get for doing the weekly and seasonal challenges that have gone live today. Just gives you a few more.

IMPORTANT: at the end of the Season you can only carry 2,000 tome points across to the next season. Reddit is going nuts with people who have opened all of their extras straight away, bought basically everything they wanted, and are going to lose a lot of those points in 3 months time. Almost as if trying to buy 3 months worth of things in the first 3 hours was a bad idea. Who'd have thought?

One Premium Tome Token per month of membership
12 tokens grant a free Premium + Bonuses Tamriel Tome

Because I paid yearly, I got the full amount of 12 Premium tome tokens, so i was able to upgrade to the Premium + Bonuses package immediately (which Grits went and bought with money). Later on in the year, When Grits then has 12 tokens, she'll be able to claim a season upgrade for free and I'll have to pay. Basically, with ESO+, one of the four seasons per year we'll be able to claim for free. I just did it straight away.

I pay by year too, but paid last in June 2025 or possibly November 2025 = can't remember. (It used to be November, but I think I moved it up to June so it wouldn't interfere with my Christmas spending and cold weather heat spending = can't remember if I got it done or not).

So is it possible I might have some of that stuff too? How do I find out?

Also, what does that "Open Cache" button do?

Burnt Sierra
On your character sheet, look under currencies. It'll tell you how many you have of each.

The open cache button opens one of the cache's of tome points. I'd hold off on doing that for now. Unopened caches can be carried across seasons. Once they're opened, you can only carry 2000 across to the next season.
Acadian
I think the open cache button opens one of your caches, instantly giving you 2000 tome points. I think. {Edit: Oops, Burnt beat me to it.}

I think the system is very confusing and has a significant learning curve. I spend a good part of the day simply figuring out some of the interface. I stumbled around a lot trying to figure out how to reroll a task and how to claim a completed reward. I am beginning to figure things out and the more I figure out how it works, the more I like it. So I am optimistic that with some learning time to figure out how to optimize it, the new tomes system will be a nice replacement for daily logins and endeavors - much more complex but also much more flexible. smile.gif

As far as the Anniversary event, Buffy's a happy elf - daily quests and killing bosses are very high on her enjoy list.
