Oh, Aravi!! I know she was mortified, but I was in hysterics. Now she is really never going back to that inn! That was such a sweet look she and Vilja gave each other on the inn steps.

Oh good grief! Beware what a Nord thinks won’t hurt “much.” That was a lovely thing Aravi did for her.

What a touching farewell with Vilja. I love how you showed us Aravi’s thoughts after she left. The Wawnet Inn is a reminder of all that Aravi has suffered. My favorite moment is that long look at the Jeralls. Too many memories of Vilja at home. Perhaps a fresh start somewhere new.

It was funny to hear Vilja prattling on before Aravi could even get out of her bedroom door. She certainly likes to talk! She says that Aravi's outift does not become her? But that was her birthday suit! I bet Guilbert would not mind her walking around naked all the time!

Vilja wants blood, right in the middle of Aravi doing a big quest against vampires, and continually finding herself infected with vampirism? I think she ought to hammer a stake though that Nord's heart!

Wow, Vilja is gone? I had no idea she was scripted to eventually leave. Poor Aravi is all alone now! Maybe one of the Jermane brothers will volunteer to keep her company though...

I noticed that after Aravi stepped out of the Float, the screen went all blurry, and afterward her fatigue is lower. I think she got vampirism again there.

I just noticed I screwed up the effects. No whiteout should be there. I guess I missed it in my review.

SPEW !!! She thought Aravi should change her outfit, and Aravi was naked, ROFL !!! That is like every girl in the world's WORST nightmare, to be out in public and suddenly find they have forgotten their clothes !! Hilarious beginning, I loved it !!!

Oh poor Aravi !! Seeing her go through the house looking at the signs Vilja left behind - the wine goblet, the dresses - very sad !! Awesome Vids !!

Poor Aravi! Too concerned about her nightmare of Vilja’s death to even pop some clothes on before checking on her friend.

I agree with Grits. That was a sweet thing Aravi did for Vilja.

The goodbye was sad and beautiful. What a perfect job you did of capturing Aravi’s emotions. Tears, looking around like a lost kitten, staring at the mountains, wandering around her now too big home, even crying at the sight of Vilja’s dresses and putting one on. Poor thing!

@Grits: I almost changed the beginning, but seeing your reaction to it makes me glad I didn’t.
The first time I gave Vilja the final ingredient, I was so confused at what had happened. Aravi was actually out for quite a while, I cut out a lot.

Thank you Grits! That was one of the most difficult episodes I’ve made. Nothing was going right.

@SubRosa: I was confused too! What’s wrong with her birthday suit?
Vilja asked for blood I was thinking more like her blood might be dangerous to handle.
As I said before I used a blur effect to show tears. That whiteout sneaked in however, I’m not sure how that happened.

@mALX: I’m glad you liked it, it was a much needed light hearted moment I think. It was very sad to see the signs of Vilja around the house. Constant reminders of someone that you will never see again.

I just want to point out that there is an option to have Vilja stay with you and it’s very heavily pointed to in the dialog with her and that guy with the odd voice. That just wasn’t part of Aravi’s story.

Goodbye Yellow Brick Road. That was sad how she went through the mansion and left things behind, like the crystal ball, and the key upon the steps. Then that gaze up at the Jerall Mountains to the north. It is so strange to see Aravi walking alone. Then that long, final look back from the mountain top.

The Peace of Akatosh was an excellent vid too. It reminds me of the promo video for that Morrowind retexture mod that was making the rounds last summer. MGE? Or was it something else? I loved the sun setting in the ocean beyond the Ayleid ruin.

What will Aravi do with those dresses? I thought she was leaving them in the house (in case Vilja returned or something.


OMG, you absolutely have to post that second vid. It is like she walked to all the places she and Vilja had been together, plus it seemed to be a goodbye to Oblivion. I love this one as much as any of my faves of your films before. AWESOME !!!!


I wanted to thank you for sharing Aravi in Cyrodiil with us, and hope to see more of her as she reaches Skyrim.

Aravi said goodbye and moved on, but it still isn’t easy to completely let go. I think that’s why she kept the dresses. What a heart-felt farewell, I had a tear in my eye. I have to say though, I got a little thrill when she put on her Ring of the North. A whole new world of adventure awaits! I love the way you ended the video, facing the future with Skyrim on the map!

The sunset and the rain were the perfect way to end your farewell to Oblivion. What a beautiful video!

It has been a delight to get to know Aravi so well. I look forward very much to catching up with her in Skyrim!

Aravi leaves for Skyrim

As ever, you manage to fully capture what Aravi is feeling. I was sad as she dropped Vilja’s dress on the bed (it matches Aravi’s eyes and hair so nicely). Then it brought a big bittersweet smile as she ran back upstairs and grabbed both dresses! I loved that! So wonderfully symbolic as she toured her house, then left the key on the steps to begin her journey in earnest.

Wonderfully chosen little clips of her walk north that displayed so many memories and the transition to colder climes. I’m so pleased that Aravi’s mountaintop view let her see her last sunset way out over the Abecean. Then, as she opened her map, she left no doubt where her destiny will take her.

It is with such an odd mixture of sadness, excitement and hope that I offer a wish, for you and Aravi: Skyrim is everything you could hope for!

What a beautifully choreographed four minutes. For those of us that have played this wonderful game for years, every scene was identifiable and flush with precious memories.

You know, it was really weird those final days not having Vilja around. It was just too quiet.

It’s been a pleasure sharing Aravi’s life in Cyrodiil and the time has come for her to leave to new lands. A fresh start in Skyrim will hopefully help her not forget her best friend, but come to terms with her departure. It was hard to see her go even though they both knew it was coming. The colder climate will also supposedly slow and maybe even stop the infection of the vampire’s disease that has been plaguing her mind and body.
