20200713 Better Cities Imperial City Library
Leaving OVB-HQ we’re presented with a problem, where could these invisible vampires be hiding? If you can’t see them how can you get a clue to the direction of their comings and goings. We’ve sanitized the sewers, Dzonot Cave, and Sinkhole Cave. Sideways Cave because of all the water just doesn’t seem suitable for a vampire lair. What are we missing?

Discussing these things as we walked to the Merchant District Kaleah suggested patrolling the cities exits and using detect life spells to track anything leaving the city just before dawn.

Maeva thought that would be too time consuming and way too dependent on luck to be effective. Then she pointed out that our map has a huge blank spot southeast of the University.

“You mean to say after all this time we’re never investigated that area?”

“Looks like it. There’s a library in Talos Plaza. Let’s go there and look for a map”, Maeva said. So we walked back to Talos Plaza District to look for the Imperial Library.

The Imperial City People’s Library (Better Cities) is located in the Talos Plaza District upper level. Up the grand staircase, turn right, and you’re there.

“Maps?” said Ingrid the elderly Librarian. “Upstairs, first door on the right. Oh, if you happen to find my lost diary please return it to me.”

Opened the door to the map room, stepped in, and WHAM! Some fool of a bandit tried to knife us. My Ladies didn’t take kindly to that, at all. And that my dear is why we were our armor when walking around town.

Searching the body we find a note instructing the bandit to recover the stash. Well since he no longer had use for it we found the stash for him.

The couple of hours were spent browsing scrolls of the maps looking for a clue to where a nearby location suitable for a vampire lair may be. Eventually we found what could be what we were looking for. Fatback Cave lies just south of the Universitum Arcanorum.

Having left the map room in such a mess the least we could do to make up for it was to find the diary for Ingrid the Librarian. The search proved to be worthwhile. Not only did we find the diary we found a copy of “Cleansing of the Fane”. Reading that book gave us a better idea of where to find Malada and what to expect when we get there.

Returned the diary to Ingrid. Of course we read it first. Hot stuff! No not really unless you’re an elderly librarian who thinks a hot date is a night spent reading books. But then maybe there is something going on between the lines cause the old gal gave us pretty nice reward for finding it, one perfect tourmaline and a book “Fortune-telling for the Beginner”.

Following the map we pass by the Universitum Arcanorum. It is getting rather late so we decide to spend the night in the Arch-mage’s quarters.

“That new inn, the Arboretum Hotel would have been better than this,” Kaleah complained.

Can’t argue with that. It’s a matter of what you want in lodgings; convenience and free or spacious and luxurious. For the position, the Arch-mage’s quarters at the Universitum Arcanorum is rather austere. Traven was not one for keeping up with fashion, I guess. Which is probably the reason why we don't spend much time here.

Get some rest; we’ll set out first thing in the morning for Fatback Cave.
Renee
Wow, there's a peoples' library in the Talos Plaza. indifferent.gif Never been there yet. They really have maps?

It looks nice in there too. Good job! And good luck with Fatback Cave. I have absolutely no memory of this portion of OVH.

Acadian
Great idea going to the library to peruse maps. And what a beautiful library as well. Not to mention the hidden stash, bandit with a knife and finding the kindly librarian's diary for her.

Thankfully, magery is much more forgiving for the fashion conscious than warrioring.

Ahah, Fatback Cave. I remember clearing goblins out from around the entrance by the beach. Don't really remember the inside.

It's all about the dust. Ever notice that all the caves and dungeons are filled with dust. If you don’t understand the dust and how it blocks light from behind it then you’ll never understand the light that you’re getting from the object that you really care about.

Some say that life detect spells don’t actually detect life force but the disturbance of the dust as the object moves through it.

Renee – There are hanging wall maps of Cyrodiil, Vvardenfell, Tamriel, and a darkened one of Dibella’s Watch. Have to imagine that there are scrolls of maps with detailed locations marked on them.
Subrosa – I can’t get over the Fatback Girls. That was really good. The legend of Fatback Cave will be forever changed.

20200719 I-SL Persuasion, Delivery Service
It was a beautiful morning when we set out to leave the Universitum Arcanorum. But, the large grayish white clouds carried a hint of an approaching storm.

Garradug gra-Shudrul, an Orc we met in the Universitum Arcanorum courtyard asked that we speak to the Ayleid, Tyrru Mayame. Garradug is worried that Tyrru is about to make a wrong decision. She would like us as a Diplomat of the Stranded Light to intercede and help Tyrru make a good decision.

What a coincidence, we happened to run into Tyrru Mayame, the Ayleid as we were leaving the Universitum Arcanorum. We called out to him.

“Hey Tyrru! Wait up. We haven’t figured out the riddle but we think this letter is for you.”

Yes, the letter did turn out to be for Tyrru and he was glad that we delivered the letter to him. It saved him a long trip to one of his secret mail boxes. Thank goodness, we never would have found the mailbox as it has been buried under the new Better City walls of Cheydinhal.

Garradug’s request came up in our conversation. Asking Tyrru how he was doing, Tyrru replied it was complicated and a woman was involved. Ah ha, it must be Severie the Hidden Elf or Ayleid gal we met camped along the Silverfish River.

We were able to help Tyrru to make his decision. Look to the future was our advice. He seemed to accept that advice though we found it rather odd that he had decided to continue living in the Imperial City.

At that, Tyrru left us to continue on his way to the Arboretum. Maeva suggested that since we’re just outside the Universitum Arcanorum might as well inform Garradug of Tyrru’s decision.

Sure why not.

Garradug gra-Shudrul more than a little ecstatic to hear Tyrru is staying in the Imperial City. She started making plans to find an apartment for them. It was at that moment when we understood exactly what Tyrru’s dilemma was. I’d be worried too if I was Tyrru. I mean, did you see I choppers on that orcess? I don’t know if this was the best outcome Tyrru. We do hope it works out for him. This leaves us feeling a bit sad for Severie, who is now more alone than ever before.

Oh well, what’s done is done. Like we told Tyrru; look to the future.

Come on Ladies let’s go down by the river where it's warm and green. We’ll have a drink and walk around; we got a lot to think about.

Mainly, how to approach Fatback Cave?

I agree. I also don't recognize where that bridge is.

@Subrosa – Yes, there’s a vampire song for every occasion.

@Renee - The building in the back ground is the Arcane University. The stone bridge is the bridge leading to the Arboretum. The wooden walkway and staircase the party is walking on is added by Unique Landscapes Imperial Isle. The staircase leads down into the gulch and provides a convenient and safe path (Pym wears high heels) to the lake below the Arcane University.

@Acadian - Had a couple hiccups along the way. Found out that I didn't get the best outcome in the Stranded Light Mail Delivery quest. Thought about going backwards but eventually decided; that's life, live with it.

20200722 VH-OVB Fatback Cave
Walking along the water’s edge of the southeastern tip of the Imperial Isle searching for Fatback Cave, Jandaga absentmindedly began singing a little tune he had heard a bard play during dinner at the pub the night before, “Fatback Girls, you make the adventuring world go…”

A stone the size of a fist resounding off the back of his armor right between the shoulders brought the singing to a halt.

Turning around he was greeted by the glaring gaze of his three companions. Standing there, arms akimbo, the Ladies weren’t having any of his excuses. The more he tried to explain that he didn’t think the Ladies were fat the worse it got.

Me thinks they’ve been listening to Vilja too much. Only by promising a relaxing exotic vacation did the fiery gazes subside.

With that minor disagreement over, we continued searching the beach. Passing by the wreckage of a ship we spot the two Arena healers (Arena Lite) swimming in the clear water. The Jandaga often wondered what the healers did during their off hours. A refreshing swim to soothe the soul is a good idea before having to deal with the pain and death of the Arena.

Before he could join them for a swim, a most seductive voice whispered in his ear, “This ain't no party, this ain't no disco, this ain't no fooling around. No time for dancing, or lovey dovey. We ain't got time for that now.”

Kaleah can be so persuasive and confusing at the same time. The Jandaga was left wondering, What’s a disco?

A little further around the point the sandy beach became crowded with groupings of large rocks. From out one such grouping came a mighty squawking as three goblins charged us. Two of them overwhelmed Pym. Going to her rescue puts Jandaga in line with Kaleah’s fiery arrows.

The goblins defeated we enter Fatback Cave. Time is not on our side. It is getting late in the day which means if we don’t hurry the vampires will soon be awakening and we don’t want that.

There is an eerie quietness to the deep darkness of Fatback Cave. Then ever so softly a stirring could be heard echoing up from the depths.

(Come softly, darling. Come to me, stay. You're my obsession, forever and a day.) Dum dum, dum doo dum, dooby doo.

The seductive droning affected the Jandaga. He began to drift trancelike toward the whispers. Perhaps she was still irritated about the Fatback song; with a bit more force than needed Kaleah slammed the Jandaga’s helm upon his head. The willpower enhancing helm canceled the song’s seductive power almost immediately.

“Better now, my Feache?” Kaleah asked demurely.

“What? Speak up, can’t hear a thing. Next time, be careful of the ears!”

Something is dreadfully wrong here. Twinkle’s illumination revealed desiccated husks of Goblins everywhere. Hmmm, to a thirsty vampire even green goblin tea will do.

Then without warning we‘re attacked by an invisible foe. Detect life spell helps reveal the invisible vampires, barely.

My Ladies surround the vampire to help bring it down. Then there was another one and another.

Light of Dawn has acquired more than 150 vampires and its lingering burning effect on strike has become more effective.

The Great Chamber; ended up defeating five vampires in this chamber. The Jandaga had stationed his Ladies at the door to the Deep Basin. Two strong vampires in the Deep Basin pressed the Jandaga to flee back through the door to the Great Chamber area. In their blood lust the vampires followed him through the door only to perish at the hands of his Ladies.

The Deep Basin filled with swinging traps and a long arduous battle with Levus Gabinia (MOO).

Throughout the three levels of Fatback Cave vampires cloaked in invisibility came at us one or two at a time. Lucky for us they attacked that way; ten invisible vampires attacking all at once could be a recipe for disaster.

The vampires eradicated and Fatback Cave properly looted we stepped out into the morning light to be greeted by a rainbow. Surely a sign of good omen sent to the Jandaga by his goddess.

20200728 VH-OVB HQ attack, a bad choice
Standing there watching the rainbow fade away he could almost see the spyrysyon racing across the skybridge. Pym spread her arms and smiled as Kaleah stood silently, head bowed, wrapping herself in her suede soft wings.

Maeva stroked his ear and said, “Enjoy the peace while it lasts, my Jandaga.”

Making a small camp they enjoyed the morning on the beach. After a picnic lunch they cleaned and inspected their armor; repairing what they could. It was late in the afternoon by the time they returned to the Imperial City to hit the shops and taverns in the Merchants District.

It was very late by the time when the Hunters staggered through the head quarters’ door of the Order of the Virtuous Blood.

Odd, Cylben Dolovas and Adrianna Sintav are not there to greet us. They have been spending a lot of time together perhaps they’re upstairs. Ooops, sorry! Yep, there they are sound asleep.

It’s late, why not just throw a blanket on the floor and crash in the basement for the night?

On the staircase to the basement they interrupt an intruder. The thief bolts past the Jandaga, racing up the stairs in an attempt to get away.

Kaleah stand firm to block his escape. Trapped the intruder tries to fight his way out. Roland, who was downstairs, rushes to help but there’s no need as my Ladies put an end to the intruder.

The intruder turns out to be a vampire assassin. Now that causes quite a stir during the morning tea. The attack on the OVB dominated the conversation.

Adrianna Sintav has a change of heart. After once questioning the Jandaga’s abilities in vampire hunting she now pleads, “I’m scared! Please don’t leave on another mission. You have to stay here and protect us.”

Wish we could stay but we really need to get to Bravil. Besides from what we saw last night she has Cylben to protect her.

Traveling along the Ring Road when we reach the intersection it was decided to make quick stop at the Archeology Guild Hall to drop off a few unique items we had collected. While there, Sova mentions that the lack of staff has delayed the expedition to Valenwood. Funding is no problem with all the gold the Jandaga has put into the bank account. The problem seems to be that archeology has a staid, boring, and unadventurous reputation. No one wants join.

Sova has an ad campaign planed to increase recruitment but it will take some time to implement and then there’s additional time to properly train new recruits. Understood, the Jandaga thinks he may want to undertake the expedition himself. Novices can be so destructive.

Leaving the guild hall, once on the Green Road we notice several pilgrims taking a path into the forest. Curious we follow the pilgrims to find a Wayshrine to Talos. Leaving the wayshrine we follow another trail that takes us to the daedric shrine dedicated to Hircine.

Being in a mood for adventure Jandaga didn’t want to listen to Kaleah’s warnings about Hircine’s renowned cunning and ferocity. “Take care Feache, he’ll turn your desires against you.”

But the Jandaga had convinced himself that werebeasts would be involved. Leaving an offering of wolf pelts the Jandaga said, ‘Hey, let’s hear what Hircine has to say. Maybe get a quest to hunt werewolves. Wouldn’t that be exciting?”

Should’ve known better, Hircine would not be using his sons and daughters as prey. You can’t imagine Jandaga’s shock when the mission was to hunt a unicorn. Not just any old unicorn but the only unicorn in Cyrodiil.

“My Jandaga, Life’s Dagger, Defender of the Kin, you cannot do this thing!” implored Maeva the Cute Elf.

She is right of course. Jandaga can’t or won’t do it. Killing a noble sylphim creature for sport would be unconscionable. There is either another way or Hircine can keep his reward.

Wiping the tears from Maeva’s cheek he told the Ladies to trust in Nir the Mother of all Creation to make clear the path.

Since we already know you're running the Gweden mod, it's going to involve Meena. biggrin.gif

Be aware that doing that quest with followers is a nightmare of riot-management, as the Unicorn reacts badly to weapons, and followers react to anything by drawing a weapon. You can't even leave them chasing off the Minotaurs, as that just results in pulling them in, instead.

I'll be very interested in how you manage to pull this one off. ohmy.gif And manage the screenshots, for that matter.

Overall a good day. A beautiful and relaxing morning. Some vampire assassin hunting midday, then Hircine's shrine on the way to Bravil.

I'm with Maeva and the Jandanga. Kill a unicorn? I think not, and agree that Hircine can keep whatever reward he might have in mind.

@ghastly – Hope my poor story telling isn’t too torturous a read. Thanks for the warning about the touchy Unicorn. Having recruited Meena a couple times before, I found out about the Unicorn a long time ago.
Thanks again for the Gweden mod and for Rumple. They are both great fun. It’s unfortunate that I will be unable to recruit all the girls.

20200731 Hircine’s Virgin Meena
The little band of hippies didn’t intentionally go looking for the Unicorn. They just kind of stumbled into Harcane Grove while on their way through the forest to Bravil. It was then that a silvery glint of light oft in the distance caught the Jandaga’s eye.

Look, do you see it?” whispered the Jandaga. “There it is again. Is someone with it?”

There at the far side of the grove a horse like figure of pure white stood out against the deep green of the dense forest. As the creature turned its head the rays of the sun flashed blindingly bright off the single long horn on its forehead.

Jandaga started to rise intending to approach the Unicorn. Kaleah held him back.

“Minotaur,” she warned. “Three big bulls and there is a girl.”

Observing the grove for a time we notice that the Minotaur would not let anyone or thing enter Harcane Grove nor would they allow the Unicorn leave the area. While the band studied the situation a pilgrim escorted by a Knight of the Order of the Dragonborne (OOO) passed by. The knight warned the band not to get too close to the grove.

“Several pilgrims have been slain by the Minotaur there, that’s why we now provide free escort service to the Talos Wayshrine.”

After a brief discussion it was decided that the situation was one of how to thwart Hircine and safely free the Unicorn. Stealthily the band moved into position. Once in position Jandaga asked the Ladies to hold their position until the Minotaur are drawn out of the grove.

“Kaleah, keep Pym from charging in too early.”

From a safe social distance, Jandaga reached into his bag of tricks and pulled out the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch. The instructions to operate the grenade were a bit confusing. That gave Jandaga time to rethink his approach. Don’t use an area of effect spell. Cast a targeted Lightning Blast spell instead.

The highly charged Lightning Blast killed the first target outright. A second nearby Minotaur alarmed by the attack rushed our position. Pym broke free of Kaleah to meet the attacker.

Lucky for us the Unicorn did not sense Pym drawing her weapon. Circling around Harcane Grove’s perimeter to get a clear shot at the third Minotaur we dealt with the remaining Minotaur in the same long distance manner. A direct hit with a lightning blast spell put the beast down.

With the Minotaur taken care of we were able to peacefully approach the Unicorn and speak to its naked rider.

“Greetings Godiva.”

“Huh? My name is Meena and this is my Unicorn.”

Meena tells us she a virgin and her story provides a possible solution to getting the horn without killing the Unicorn. First Meena must lose her virginity. Second the Unicorn must be corralled until its horn falls off. Turning to the Ladies the Jandaga asks their advice.

‘What, you expect me to hold your hand while you,,, you,,,?” cried Kaleah. “Don’t come looking for me to help you out of this one!”

Ouch, she gets so huffy when a pretty maiden is involved in a quest.

Maeva, what about using the Cute Elf Retreat to hold the Unicorn?”

“There’s already a mated pair of Unicorns there. A second stallion would cause problems. Besides, this one is some kind of Hircine hybrid and may not bond well with the Mystic Unicorns.”

Maeva, our Wiki Master comes up with a possible solution. The Anvil stables keeps white horses. A hornless Unicorn would blend right in. The question is how to safely get the Unicorn to Anvil. This will take some thought.

We ask Meena to wait for us while we go to Bravil and search for Sugar’s axe. She agrees but “don’t take too long”.
Acadian
What a fun twist to the unicorn story!

I've no idea what might happen next here. Anvil's quite a distance and I'm trying to imagine how Sugar's axe will fit in here. Can't wait to learn how this plays out!

20200803 Gweden - Sugar the Sweet Orc, Hircine’s Virgin
Bravil is a closed mouth place. Walking around town we ask everyone we meet about any rumors concerning someone trying to sell an axe. No one has anything to say. Took awhile but we finally found someone who knows something, S’Krivva. We’re told the axe has no value, no one would buy it. The thief took it with him to Fort Cedrian on the banks of the Corbolo River.

It was a calm day so we walked across the Niben Bay and up the Corbolo River to the Crestbridge were we found the ruins of Fort Cedrian. The ruins have been taken over by marauders and raiders. It was a fight from the moment we stepped through the entrance. Down in the mausoleum we enter a room and the battle intensified dramatically.

At the far end of the upper level a raider fury was standing over a body. The Jandaga fights his way across the upper level as the raider begins to loot the lifeless body. After the marauders and raiders were subdued we discovered Sugar’s axe on the body of the unfortunate bandit. Looks like Sugar’s axe thief’s asking price was too high and the raider made a slashing counter offer.

Running back to Harcane Grove with Sugar’s war axe in hand Jandaga worried about the Ladies reaction to him helping Meena lose her virginity. He brought up the subject of how best to get Meena and the Unicorn to Anvil and what needed to be done after that. The Ladies all agreed that Jandaga should do his duty to save the Unicorn. But, there’s a tension in the little band of hippies. Though they wouldn’t admit it the Ladies don’t like the idea of sharing their Jandaga with anyone.

In a typical faerie carefree attitude it didn’t seem to bother the two sylphim elves the Cute Elf Maeva or the lopped-eared Moonshadow Elf, Pym. Maeva said, “Someone has to make the sacrifice to save the Unicorn. Just don’t make a habit of it.”

Kaleah being Daedra reacted rather stiffly, “Why should I care about the affairs of mortals”. There was something in the way she turned away as she said it that suggested differently.

Meena was still in the grove awaiting our return. After listening to our plan she looked the Jandaga up and down before smiling in agreement.

“Satisfaction guaranteed,” Maeva said with a wink.

(Our attempts to walk to Anvil all failed. The roads and countryside were thick with bandits, marauders, assassins, and other dangers and every time a sword was drawn the Unicorn went into attack mode and died. I didn't try summoning a horse and riding there as the ladies can't ride.)

With a wave of Jandaga’s hand the party was transported to the outskirts of Anvil.

With a naked Meena riding the Unicorn, we walk the short distance to the stables. Ernest was keenly interested upon hearing of our little project. His fee for the stall and the use of his bedroll; some coin and a ringside seat to watch.

Getting the Unicorn into the stall and shutting the gate was the most difficult thing and for a moment I didn’t think Meena was going to dismount.

Maeva and Pym, both did a poor job of holding back their snickering as Kaleah adjusted the collar of Jandaga’s black finery. Looking him in the eye she gave him a squeeze as she said. “Feache you can Ring My Bell anytime. Now get in there and make us proud.”

Pym pulled a potion out of her pocket. Giving it to the Jandaga she signed that it was just a precaution for Meena to drink.

As the Jandaga introduced Meena to the bedroll the Ladies setup a perimeter to ensure privacy for the couple. Poor Ernest didn’t get to see a thing.

A couple hours later… the Jandaga gets up to see Pym calming a hornless ex-unicorn. On the ground in the stall next door lay a unicorn horn. Good, the Unicorn is no longer horny but where’s Meena? Kaleah and Maeva tell Jandaga the news. They had offered Meena a position at Gweden and she enthusiastically took it. She’s on her way there now.

“OK,” was all Jandaga could say as he thought, “How did the Ladies find out about the no workplace dating clause?”

Yes, and those familiar will note that weapon is only effective against the Rabbit of Caerbannog, aka the Black Beast of Arghhh.

...And Saint Attila raised the hand grenade up on high, saying, "O LORD, bless this Thy hand grenade, that with it Thou mayest blow Thine enemies to tiny bits, in Thy mercy." And the LORD did grin, and the people did feast upon the lambs and sloths and carp and anchovies and orangutans and breakfast cereals, and fruit bats and large chu... [At this point, the friar is urged by Brother Maynard to "skip a bit, brother"]... And the LORD spake, saying, "First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin. Then shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who, being naughty in My sight, shall snuff it."[

It's just a rabbit!

Arcadian - Three companions is just about right. More and the game at times performs badly. Now at with Jandaga at level 30+ three may be making the game too easy.

Renee - Dsco yes, the Ladies and I like to boogie but NO ducks. That is one of the best rainbow shots I have. Probably nothing you already know and do but I'm using WryeBash 307 standalone executed by OBSE launcher . Better Rainbows sorts rather high in the load order, above All Natural. Wish I could help,

ghastley - Those are the most annoying instructions ever. wacko.gif Really like this your mod. I know it probably wasn't intended for a male character with several jealous female companions and I'm not the best writer especially when compared to the excellent writers I've found here so I hope you don't mind me having a bit of fun with it.

20200812 Gweden - Silanu the Dark Dominatrix, Orrey – Dagny’s Camp
With Meena on her way to the Gweden Brothel the most logical move would be to return to the Imperial City and deliver the axe to Sugar.

A quick stop at the stops and then off to Gweden we go. There are now five girls working at Gweden; Maeva the Buxom a Nord, Darwen a Bosmer, Virgilia an Imperial, Meena a Breton, and Selena a Redguard.

The new basement addition looks nice. More room to entertain the steady flow of Imperial guards willing to pay for the privilege of inspecting the facilities.

Things could be better though. According to Tsarrina some clients would like a little bit more spice in their dish. She wants us to find a kinky Dunmer to disciple the naughty boys.

Say kinky Dunmer and thoughts raced straight to Falanu in Skingrad. As a good a place to start as any.

After discussing the future of Gweden with Tsarrina we return to Anvil to spend the night at Benirus Manor. Let’s hope Elenya is in a better mood this time. She is and when presented with her share of the gold she is all smiles again.

A good night’s sleep and we’re off to Skingrad to talk to Falanu. There are rumors floating around in Skingrad about a large chest. When we ask Falanu about the large chest rumor she says it’s her sister Silanu, who’s staying upstairs. Just like that Falanu hands me the key to her sister’s room. Well, might as well go up and talk to Silanu.

Holy Moly! Talk about augmentation gone wrong. Instead of freely give out the key to Silanu’s room; Falanu should be charging admission for the privilege.

It was obvious the Silanu has a hard time finding clothes that fit. One deep breath and her bustier was ripped to shreds. She didn’t seem to mind that very thing was out in the open. In fact she appeared rather proud of her unusual dimensions.

Silanu’s story was that she has been accused of murdering one of the Emperor’s illegitimate sons. She needs help to clear her name. We’re pretty sure Silanu is the kinky sort that we are looking for. So if we can find any evidence at the burned out shop on the Red Road that can help her maybe she’ll come to work at Gweden.

Leaving Skingrad we decide to travel through the Colovian Highlands to Chorrol. Passing by Dagny’s Camp we waved a friendly greeting to the occupant. Intending to ask to share the fire for the night Jandaga approached the camp. He hadn’t even gotten two words out of his mouth when the fool Nord balled up his ham sized fists and attacked the Ladies.

On the idiot’s body we found another missing artifact for Bothia, a Dwemer Coherer. Another Dwemer artifact, we now have three how many did Bothis say were stolen?

“Five, only need two more.” Maeva reminded everyone.

Nightfall was approaching. Deciding to take advantage of the four tents the little band settled down to spend the night. Bright and early on the morrow the plan was to continue the search for remaining bandit camps.

Gweden seems to be coming along well. Silanu definitely seems to have the touch of ghastley about her. . . . tongue.gif

20200813 Dagney’s Camp, Auriel’s Retreat
Night came to Dagny’s Camp bringing with it crystal clear starry skies. Maeva and Pym had retired to their chosen tents for the night. For awhile, Kaleah and I sat watching salamanders dancing in the glowing embers of Dagny’s campfire.

Pointing skyward Kaleah leaned close and said, “My pretty little Feache, just think, each of those points of light is the realm of a daedric prince. There’s more than you can count and I can show them to you.”

“Don’t tease me like that, Kaleah.”

Kaleah, feeling an odd sensation of hurt and confusion responded, “What? It’s true and that lamp in the daytime sky is a huge hole that leads to even more such realms.”

“No, no, it’s the ‘my pretty little Feache’ thing. Makes me feel like a cheap toy. I may be easy but I ain’t cheap.”

“Ah, hahahahahahaha,” she laughed. “That I know, my dear Feache. But there’s no denying that you are a child of the Fae, and you are short, and to me you are pretty. It’s a term of endearment of the heart, much like you referring to us as ‘My Ladies’.”

“Oh, I never thought that daedra held emotional attachments.”

“We can and do when there is a mutual deep respect between two daedra of equal stature. My Feache, I do not lie when I say there would be a hole in my heart as big as Magnus in the sky, should anything happen to you. As would be in yours should anything happen to any of us.”

“Yes, I think I understand.” The Jandaga nodded as he continued.
♫ My boat sails stormy seas
Battles oceans filled with fears.
At last my port's in view
Now that I've discovered you.
Oh I'd give my life so lightly
For my gentle ladies.
Give it freely and completely
For my ladies.♫

“Oh my Feache,” swooned Kaelah. Fanning herself gently with her wings she continued, “Quite the minstrel you are. I’m impressed. Power enough to make one wonder who’s the seducer here. Come with me.”

She takes him by the hand and leads him to her tent. Handing the Jandaga a book she calls him by his name, a
name no Man or Mer should hear and says, “There is something I want you to see.”

Uh, oh this is serious

She stares deeply into the Jandaga’s eyes as she holds him by the shoulders and intones a little spell.
♫ We'll fly his astral plane
We'll take a trip around the bay
I'll bring you back the same day
Xero-Lygie, Xero-Lygie♫

Kaleah releases Jandaga. Turning around Jandaga is amazed by what he sees. A land like no other lay in splendor before him.

Auriel's Retreat, a walk in a mystical park.

Merchant Town on the water.

Crossing the bridge as we leave the town.

Falls shrouded in mist.

Strange carvings on the cavern walls.

An abandoned house to call home.

Temple of Knowledge.

Come on sweetie, dream time is over. No more Unicorn slaying, it’s time to get up and get to work.”
Acadian
Aww, Kaleah takes her Feache on a mystical walkabout. Wow, Auriel's Retreat looks spectacular!

20200820 Orrey –Boreal & Varus camps, Sutch Village
Once again the little band of hippies is on the move.

“Well Kaleah that was not what I expected when you said you were going to take me places I’d never been. What was that place?”

“The Retreat, was formed out of an Aetherius pocket by Auriel from the house of Stormwind, sorcerer of the once glorious Ayleid Empire. Nothing you couldn’t do yourself with just a little effort. Stupid Mer , he took a shortcut and made a bad deal with Hermaeous Mora. Read the book, you’ll see. You’ll also learn how to go there anytime should you desire. There is more to it than what little you saw.”

“Who is Xero-Lyg?“

“One of the Magne-Ge. Little known sister to Meridia named in the Exegesis of Merid-Nunda often associated with an alchemists name Leary. That’s all you need to know for now.”

With Maeva checking her magical map now and then we make our way west to Bodean Camp. We encounter a group of headhunters but no sign of any artifact. A short distance from the camp we find the mutilated body of female bandit. In her possession was a Dwarven Cylinder. Doesn’t really matter that we were too late to save her from the headhunter but she probably wouldn’t have given up the Dwarven Cylinder without a fight anyway. Well at least she still has her head.

It was still a lot of daylight when the band left Bodean Camp to continue the search for the last artifact. The weather shifted and it was dark and raining by the time we approached Varus Camp. From a distance we can see a Khajiit and a woman fighting. Do we rush in to aid the woman or the Khajiit? We decided to advance slowly and deal with the victor.

The Khajiit won and fled at our approach. My Ladies chased it down and gave it a final lesson in manners. The dead bandit Carrier turned out to be an Imperial female. She was carrying a Dwarven Tube. That completes the set. The next time we’re in the Imperial City we will deliver the 5 Dwarven artifacts to Bothiel.

It’s late, we are all exhausted and ready for sleep but the Ladies absolutely refuse to spend one more night sleeping on the ground. Well the new town of Sutch is nearby. Let’s go see what kind of inn they have to offer.

Turns out Such has grown rather rapidly. Several homes and farms have sprung up all due to a productive ebony mining operation. There is a fairly nice inn in the new town, The Goblet Alehouse, owned by an Argonian named Paj Meel. We take rooms at the inn for the night.

The next morning Paj Meel, also the Mayor of the town, mentions that he is seeking assistance in rebuilding Fort Sutch. He asks if we’d be willing to recruit workers in Chorrol and Anvil.

I take it the Orc we met at Ave’s House of Delights never showed. He’s probably still sitting at the stage watching the dancers. Oh well, we’re heading Chorrol way don’t see any problem in asking around.

We leave the Alehouse and cast the Teleport Home spell to take us to Arborwatch in Chorrol.
Renee
As I said over in the new forums, so glad you have added Sutch. It's very well done, right?

I am curious what Jandaga will see at the Orrery as well. Joan of Arkay (one of my Xbox characters) did that quest and has received a couple of ... well I don't want to spoil. But one of the 'things' she got out that quest is actually useful!
Acadian
Frustrating when you encounter a fight and can't tell who - if anyone - to help. Sutch looks great and especially the inn. And it seems like they're not done growing the town yet. Teleport home! What a handy spell!
macole
Renee - Since I tend to wander about Cyrodiil doing things as I stumble upon them, I don't mind spoilers (probably read it in the UESP already). More than likely I will have forgotten them by the time I get to that point in the quest.

Arcadian - The Teleport Home is one of my two favorite teleport spell. The spell is available for sale in the LAME and Integration-The Stranded Light mods. Cast it and you can choose your destination from available home options. Destinations are added as you purchase homes. There is even a home option in the Shivering Isles.

20200823 Sutch & Better Cities
We begin the day canvassing around Chorrol for anyone looking for work we were able to dig up two possibilities. Two Orc brothers looking for work and an Imperial woman selling some interesting "training" were staying at the Grey Mare.

Entering the Grey Mare, Pym gives the Jandaga a nudge and holds up three fingers. Looking around he sees two of the biggest greenest ugliest Orcs he’s seen in a long time. Definitely not your typical Orsimer.

The Jandaga looks at them and thinks the two big tuskers are more in line with the Orcs Topal the Pilot Orc saw. Could they actually be real Orcs?

Introducing ourselves we present the Sutch opportunity to the Orc brothers. The two Orcs love construction work, eagerly sign-on for the Sutch contact. They left right away.

Pym nudges the Jandaga again, grabs him by the chin and directs his gaze toward… Well hello there!

The Imperial woman standing along the wall, Juliana Galena, tells us she is a trainer specializing in confidence building for timid boys in the, ahem, manly sport of wrestling.

Juliana would certainly improve the looks at Gweden but there’s a slight problem. She has an itch and one of her clients has it too. She can make a potion to cure the itch she just needs someone to collect the more difficult ingredients; imp gall and ogre teeth. Well thanks to Vilja, we do have experience collecting ingredients.

(BetterCities BANChorrolAgeOldSilverGateQuest – issue #1 Virani doesn’t recognize the PC as an Archeology Guild member or what’s worse as the AG Headmaster. RP adjustments needed.)

The Jandaga and his Ladies sat down with Juliana to discuss the particulars of her situation. It was around 9:00pm the party broke up and they left the Grey Mare. Maeva suggested stopping by the new inn in town the Twin Goblet Alehouse for one or two before going home. Sitting at the bar was a tall good looking Altmer wearing of all things an Archeology Guild robe.

Jandaga takes a seat next to her and strikes up a conversation. Virani is indeed a member of the Archaeology Guild. She must either be a very new member or she doesn’t spend much time at the guild hall. She has no idea that she is talking to her Headmaster. Instead the nerdy Altmer girl thinks Jandaga is trying to bust a move on her and begins to panic.

Watching the interaction between the Jandaga and Virani, Pym signs to Kaleah, “He’s doing it again!”

“Yes child. Isn’t it fun to watch,” Kaleah coos. “Two in one night, kinda makes me wanna get all jiggy wit ‘im.”

Blushing profusely, Pym throws her hands up in frustration.

The Jandaga sooths away Virani’s fears and soon she is confiding to Jandaga about her mission to investigate a recently discovered ages old silver gate below the Chorrol’s abandoned prison. Virani leaned close, her lips brushing the Jandaga’s ear and whispered she would be most appreciative if Jandaga would help determine if it is safe to explore beyond the gate, before the Archaeology Guild sends an expedition.

With a sly smile, Jandaga agreed to help Virani. He didn’t mention that she was talking to her Headmaster. He does have a brief thought the ethics of Virani’s recruitment tactics but lets it to pass without comment. Why spoil her fun after she had put so much effort into her seduction.

It’s late and the Jandaga and his Ladies decide to retire to Arborwatch for the night.

Those are indeed a couple of imposing looking orcs!

It was meeting the Imperial and Altmer woman that really drove home the implications of the Jandanga's Bosmeri lack of height. His eyes are at rather a convenient level when meeting most ladies. 20200826 Better Cities Who’s the Daddy
(Better Cities ‘Who’s the Daddy’ quest; cute but leaves a lot to be desired. The initial accusation conversation feels rather weak. It doesn’t take into account PC’s rank, status, or any skills that might have an influence on the outcome. It kind of goes from “you did it, Pay up or I’m calling the cops” to “ok bring proof you didn’t tomorrow”.)

There’s a light rain when we leave the Twin Goblet Alehouse. Surprisingly there’s a small crowd of people standing outside.

A young woman’s voice rings out in the darkness, “That's him Daddy. That’s the one who done it!”

The parents of a young pregnant girl in Chorrol named Elaine Breucombe approach the Jandaga accusing him of being the father of their daughter’s unborn child. They demand marriage.

Jandaga tried to explain that a mistake had been made, that he wasn’t the father but his denials fell on deaf ears. The father became angrier and angrier until he demanded Jandaga marry his daughter or he’ll call the guards and have Jandaga arrested and executed on some trumped up charge.

(Here the quest has the irate father suddenly for no apparent reason agree to give Jandaga a day to decide. My improvised version continues.)

“Go ahead call the guards. There’s one standing over there,” Jandaga shot back. “Have him arrest me.”

Given no other choice the accusing father calls the guard. When the guard addressed the Jandaga with “Greetings Champion, how may I be of service?” the parents of the pregnant daughter nearly died on the spot.

The Ladies, who were getting rather fidgety, began to laugh as Jandaga calmly told the guard that he was helping these good people with a growing problem and that they just needed to know the time. The guard gave Jandaga the time and reported that all was well.

Turning to the Breucombe’s the guard told them, “You’re in good hands. The Champion of Cyrodiil will certainly find a solution to your problem.”

“I will speak to your daughter tomorrow,” Jandaga told the speechless parents. They Jandaga and his Ladies went back to Arborwatch leaving the stunned Breucombe’s wondering how long it will be before they’re thrown in prison.

“That’s one of the things I admire about him,” Maeva whispered to Kaleah. “Gets falsely accused of tipping the prized cow and then offers to find the real culprit like nothing happened.”

“She may be a tad young but My Feache does not dally with cows. That I won’t allow!” Kaleah retorted.

The next day Jandaga and his Ladies had lunch at the Breucombe’s. Speaking privately with Elaine, Jandaga uncovers Elaine had become enraptured by the heroic/romantic tales of a dashing young adventurer. The last she saw of him, he was talking to a female Altmer dressed in a red robe.

With that lead the little band goes back to the Twin Goblet Alehouse to speak with Virani. Virani believes Sova, a fellow guild member, was in Chorrol about six months ago. Sova may have contracted Elaine's lover to explore suspected Ayleid ruins buried beneath Chorrol’s old prison. Perhaps he has gone to the Archeology Guild Hall to make his report to Sova?

Sensing the urgency in the situation Jandaga uses Midas’ Astral Gateway to travel to the Archeology Guild Hall.

Maeva, do you remember which one to the Archeology guild? “

Speaking to Sova she confirms two things. Yes, she employed the adventurer to explore some ruins buried beneath Chorrol’s Old Prison. No, he hasn’t been heard from since. Could he still be down there, all these months later? Seems unlikely but needs to be checked.

Dinner and a night spent at The Archeology Guild Hall.

20200830 Better Cities Who’s the Daddy conclusion
The following morning after an early breakfast the Jandaga held a conference with the Ayleid Research team lead, Sova. The Jandaga suggested to Sova that she inform Virani to be more careful in her recruiting methods and who she tries.

After the conference the Jandaga and the Ladies used the Teleport Home spell to return to Arborwatch in Chorrol.
Searching the newer section Chorrol for ways to the rumored underground cavern the intrepid band of explorers find themselves at the worn gates of Chorrol’s Old Prison, just south of Northern Goods and Trade. Now that’s an obvious place to start. After entering the Old Prison the party found a trapdoor leading to underground caverns. Soon we’re standing before a great ages old silver door.

Using the scroll Virani provided to reveal the gate switch the Jandaga unlocks the Silver Gate and the party enters the ruins. Virani has arrived. She had intended to set up a camp in the cavern but after seeing the utter disaster, rivers of lava flow everywhere and two ghostly factions locked in eternal battle, she has deep doubts of continuing.

(BetterCities BANChorrolAgeOldSilverGateQuest – issue #2 Quest is incomplete. This is as far as it goes. The layout of the Deep Underground Caverns is interesting.)

Leaving Virani at the gate Jandaga and the Ladies begin searching for the lost lover down by some boat dock where a large group of ghosts are fighting. The ghosts disappear as we approach. No sign of any adventurers are found at the docks.

The boats to cross the lava lake are inoperable, so Jandaga and his Ladies continue their search for the suspected missing father to the right of the boat dock. It’s not long before the bodies of two adventurers are discovered in front of a locked stone door, killed by a gas trap. The male adventurer, presumably the father of Elaine’s unborn child, had a note written to Elaine.

Some letter! Of all the low down, dirty…, it’s a Dear Jane letter. Thanks for a bit-o-fun, see ya!

Returning to the Silver Gate, Jandaga asked Virani if she’d be a witness to the discovery. After being assured that the ghost wouldn’t be a bother Virani walks all the way to where the bodies were found so she could see the bodies of the dead adventurers for herself. Once she is satisfied Virani agrees to meet us at the Breucombe’s.

What, didn’t she believe us?

Leaving the Deep Caverns we travel through the Underground Tunnels the way we came in. Investigating a staircase reveals it leads to the private chambers of the castle. Another staircase leads to the chapel’s undercroft. Taking the undercroft exit we leave the underground caverns and proceed directly to the Breucombe’s house.

With Virani as our witness Lucien Breucombe and his wife accepts the truth of their daughter’s affair. Apologizing for the false accusation and in trying to force Jandaga into marrying his daughter he then asked the Jandaga to let Elaine know what was discovered.

Speaking to Elaine privately, Jandaga tells her know the man who made her pregnant was found, dead in the caverns beneath Chorrol. She is saddened at the news, but her sadness turns to anger when she reads his note and learns how despicable he was.

Seeing Elaine so sad and angry caused Jandaga to have second thoughts about showing her the letter. On the way out Jandaga stopped to offer Lucien Breucombe a substantial sum that should more than take care of the child’s every need. Hopefully in the long run with her family’s help and the endowment, knowing the whole truth will work out best for her.

Who’s the Daddy Epilogue:
Months later when Elaine’s child, Aurora, is born the gossip mill began to turn. Wasn’t the Champion of Cyrodiil here about the time? Why else would he leave such a generous endowment for the child? Doesn’t he stop by the Breucombe’s for dinner every time he comes to Chorrol and stays to all hours of the night? The child’s mother never married, why is that?
As the girl grew into a beautiful young woman she had her pick of well to do suitors. None dared to take advantage for fear of incurring the wrath of the Champion. She eventually married and lived happily ever after. Of course a very generous anonymous wedding gift from an unseen watchful protector helped a lot. Many years later when asked why she gave her first born son the strange name of Tlaloc; Aurora answered it was in honor of someone her mother once knew.
Acadian
Aww, that adventurer was an unscrupulous scoundrel! Learning the child's name was Aurora conjured happy thoughts of Maleficent. Well, the name Tlaloc is unfamiliar. Is that perchance The Jandanga's name? Better than naming her firstborn Champ I suppose. tongue.gif
macole
Ask a simple question and what do you get?

Yes the Jandaga’s name is Tlaloc Hopopcaan, the lighter of heavens. It’s a character name I’ve used going as far back Neverwinter Nights 2002. In Baldur’s Gate and in most other games I would use a variation of my own name; Mikala, Mikaere, Mayl. With Neverwinter, I decided that I wanted to be a lightning specialist mage and I wanted a name to reflect that image. After a search I settled on an Aztec (Tlaloc) Mayan (Chac or Hopopcaan) deity combination. Apologies to the Stormcrow.

The Jandaga is a commemorative name, formed from nicknames of dear friends now lost, used in my current Oblivion character that began in 2010. Interesting thing; I got curious about name meanings when I resurrected Jandaga. What I found was Sanskrit Jaan or Ja-an meaning ‘Life’ and Daga is Spanish for dagger. With that my Jandaga became a title ‘Life’s Dagger’ or ‘Defender of the Family’s Life’.

Now you know my deep dark secret; I’m terrible with names. No imagination at all.

Oh, and Aurora. That came about because Aurora the goddess of the dawn lights up the morning sky I thought went well with The Lighter of the Heavens, Tlaloc Hopopcaan.
Renee
I have the Old Prison in my version of Better Cities too. I think one of mine did some initial exploring of the place, but didn't really get too far in there. If it's the character I am thinking of, she merely went into the prison because it was on her way to the Bathhouse. wink.gif

That ghosts pic is creepy!

This update is particularly funny! biggrin.gif

rollinglaugh.gif What a mess!

Oh wow. I also did not know the Jandaga's real name.
macole
Acadian – Very intuitive. It was a pretty heavy clue I thought. A little fact; Tlaloc and the Maya god Chac aka Hopop Caan are associated with life giving rain and agriculture. Although benevolent, he will release floods and lightning when angered. It is a shame about all the sacrificing, nasty business.

Renee – I have been rather reluctant with giving out the name but I threw out a clue so now there it is. Have you been to the Twin Goblet Alehouse? It should be just past the book store across the street from the chapel. Go to the Alehouse around 9:00pm and speak to the lady in red. When you leave the Alehouse, Who’s the Daddy will start. The accusation is different for a female.

All - Now, any ideas on the relationship between The Jandaga and his Ladies? The clues have been very subtle.

20200904 Rumple, Losing My Religion, OOO
Before leaving Chorrol we want to know what’s on the other side of the Deep Cavern. The boats don’t work, we have to use a TCLevitation spell to explore the far side.

Three ghostly watchers sit waiting for who knows what?

A mysterious tower sits in the center of a flooded room.

(What could this have been, I wonder? Wouldn’t it be fun if this Deep Underground Cavern depicted the final battle between Ayleids and the bird people of ancient Cyrodiil. Change half the combatants and the three watchers into bird people, tall harpy like creatures. Perhaps, knowing their defeat is at hand the three bird people watchers trigger some sort of magic that locks the combatants in an eternal battle. That is, until a hero arrives to rescue return the bird people and return them to the normal world. If only…)

Curiosity satisfied the little band decides it is time to leave Chorrol. Nothing like a hike in the mountains to relieve one’s jangled nerves so the Jandaga led his Ladies north up into the high mountains. Not long after leaving the outskirts of Chorrol an attack by some imps reminded the party of the request to gather imp gall and ogre teeth.

“Still need a few more”, reminded Maeva. “Imps a-plenty in Robber’s Glen but so far away.”

It was snowing and getting dark when we met the Bear Rider Unna. She was heading to the endpoint of her patrol, Sancre Tor which we had just passed through. After a short rest she’ll resume her patrol by returning the way she came. We decide to walk back to Sancre Tor with Unna and set camp for the night.

Sitting around the camp fire, Unna opened up about life on the trail. Truth be told, it’s all work and no play. She longed for a lodge in the mountains where the riders could relax in the warm glow of a hearth fire. Hmmm, I may have to talk to Ocato about this.

Morning came and Unna headed back north to resume her patrol. We turned to the south and head back down the mountain to the Colovian Highlands in search of Ogres and Imps. Our path takes us near the Wayshrine of Kynareth and the head quarters of the Kynaran Order.

First we seek a blessing at the wayshrine before stopping by the Kynaran Order’s HQ (Losing My Religion). Inquiring if the Paladin Knight Arcana was available, we so wanted to meet her. Paladin Lady Adraria Gronel informs us that the Knight Arcana is on special assignment and is not stationed at this location.

Leaving the Kynaran Order HQ we crisscross the Colovian Highlands until we spy an Ogre entering a cave. Where there is one there could be more. Needing Ogre teeth we followed the Ogre into Thunderous Steps Cave (OOO). We got more than we bargained for. Down into the Depths of the Thunder Fiends we went, where we were besieged by a swarm of wolves and Ogres. What is going on here?

Chests filled with treasure are all around the cave. Some presented were dangerous traps. By the mother of all creation, I hate mimics.

Led by the giant ogre, Thunderous, the Ogres gave us a serious testing. After defeating Thunderous and his company of Ogres we discovered the body of Gherst Baerne. His blue glass cuirass does look good.

By the time we leave Thunderous Steps Cave we had gathered 21 sets of Ogre teeth, 16 pelts of various wolves, and the loot from at least a dozen chests.

If we hurry we can make it to Sutch before dark. Our disappointment at arriving in Sutch well after dark was eased somewhat by the fact that the Silver Star Inn still has fixings for supper and an available room for the night.
Acadian
An interesting lava filled cavern.

Quite a contrast to the snow hardened Unna the Bear Rider (yay, ghastley!).

And the gang meets a paladin! Thanks for the nod to our little knight arcana!

I’ve heard OOO is a pretty scary mod. Looks like Thunderous was guarding quite a lucrative haul of treasure and loot.

Surely, one of mine (Renee Gade III, who is very fond of drink) has been to the Twin Goblet, but probably not during that time you mentioned, otherwise I'd remember that quest, for sure. I won't get with RG3 for quite some time, now that I finally am gaming with my Orc Adventurer lady. This orc is going to be my first to explore Valenwood. viking.gif

Well let's see what the Jandaga is up to, today.

QUOTE
Now, any ideas on the relationship between The Jandaga and his Ladies? The clues have been very subtle.

Hmm, relationship? Hmm. I don't think there's anything going on with Vilja. nono.gif You know, I did notice something some time back, I think with Maeva. But my memory's rather shoddy. But now that you mention this, I'll be paying more attention.

That tower in Deep Cavern looks like something straight out of Lord of the Rings. indifferent.gif

i like Unna. She rides a freeking bear!

Yeah, MIMICs suck. mad.gif I forgot about those. I think Makar's adds them? I disabled mimics after awhile. If they were extremely rare, that would be okay, but they were showing up often enough that they began to bother me, mostly because in the table game we played in high school, again, mimics were quite rare.

Nice. Blue glass cuirass.

Be careful in Sutch's Silver Star Inn. I seem to remember this is one of those places in which your room can become besieged by random NPCs, sleeping in 'our' bed and just loitering / blocking our path out of the room!

20200915 LMR Order of the Hour, Unique Landscapes
Leaving Ceheni behind, we traveled north to the Gold Road then turned east toward Skingrad.

Just passed Gottshaw Inn we made a little side trip to visit the Wayshrine of Zenithar. A little further along the road we paid a visit to the Order of the Hour’s headquarters to marvel at the two headed, gold-plate statue of Akatosh.

“Such fools men are,” Kaleah hissed.

“Kaleah, hush!” Jandaga cautioned in a whisper. “Not here of all places.”

Leaving the Order of the Hour continuing our journey to Skingrad we began to encounter Valenwood Rangers, Elsweyr assassins and Redguard warriors along the road.

One Bosmer outlaw, Lilisephona Caemorin (MOO Wanted Faction) was particularly tough. She laid the Jandaga out flat before the Ladies rushed in to teach her some manners. We took Lilisephona’s magical shoes as payment for her lessons.

Looking down at the fair Lilisephona Maeva commented, “I thought you were only going to take her shoes.”

Suddenly from out of the forest emerged a forest giant. Quick as Kaleah and Maeva are with their bows, they weren’t fast enough to stop Pym from taking the giant down with her Assassin’s Blade. Jandaga took that over powered sword away from Pym when Kaleah and Maeva started complaining they weren’t having any fun.

After a brief skirmish near Ra’sava camp we took a small detour in order to visit the wayshrines of Tiber Septim, Mara, and Arkay.

Overlooking the falls north of the Gold Road between the Wayshrines of Tiber Septim and Mara.

The Unique Landscape around the Wayshrine of Mara is one of the most idyllic scenic locations in all of Cyrodiil.

A view of Skingrad from the Wayshrine of Arkay.

“Why?” asks Kaleah. “Why do you want to visit these wayshrines for that old fool? You don’t believe, I mean your mumbled words sounds more like an insult than a prayer. So why bother?”

“Sometimes to find the truth you must understand the façade that hides it,” replied the Jandaga. “Besides I want to see Dibela’s Chapel returned to normal.”

The day is fast coming to an end, time to end the detour and resume our journey to Skingrad.

By the time we arrive at Rosethorn Hall it is nearly midnight.

That is a cool cliff and waterfall.
