Great action shots - Lord Haaf-Mersey knows no mercy!

It's usually sunny in my games outside of Riften, but inside the town it's when it turns foggy most of the time.
SubRosa
LHM is definitely pwning some toons!
SubRosa
January's time in Morroblivion is nearing its close, with only a few regions of Vvardenfell left to explore. So I have been tinkering a bit with her next adventure. I have no decided yet if it will be in Cyrodiil or Skyrim. I did some work on a martial arts mod for Skyrim that works like the ones I created for Morrowind and Oblivion. It worked just as easily. All I had to do was take a mace and shield and remove the models. Unlike in previous games, Skyrim does not give you the big WTF You are Missing a Mesh error in the game. So it worked great. The killmove with the shield even looks like she is sweeping a muay thai elbow across someone's face.

Here is how January will look in Skyrim

Knuckle sandwich

Frazier's Down!

Ride the lightning

I also did some experimenting with a sword and shield

The Witch-King was kind enough to loan January his sword

January gets medieval

Face off
Acadian
January should fit in well in Skyrim - plenty of drunken Nords there what needs a thumpin'. tongue.gif
Renee
Nice, she's really kicking some 4$$. Cool, I am glad you'll be playing some Skyrim. Lopov is playing ESO these days and it's hard to stay inspired if I'm the only one playing some game!

These are great shots!

Well I buffed his stats via taking all the appropriate perks and so he's all tanked-out now. But my avatar's got some caster skills, as well. laugh.gif

Did you grind your toon to get awesome stats? laugh.gif
Renee
Yah I did. Now it's time to have a nerdgasm while pwning some bots! salute.gif
Acadian
Nice to see you playing Skyrim, Kane. Great shots there! goodjob.gif
SubRosa
Neat pics of Skyrim SE.

How come that bush in the Wind District doesn't burn up from the fire it is literally growing around?
Renee
QUOTE(Acadian @ Feb 16 2020, 11:19 AM) *

Nice to see you playing Skyrim, Kane.

I still play it too, but it gets depressing because I thought I was the only one here doing so. I still haven't b34t the Main Quest, but I'm making progress folks. laugh.gif

Kane uses almost the exact time/date mod configuration I do!

Acadian
I was unfamiliar with the term ‘tesser’. Now, I am not. Very nice.

January Lara Stormcroft looks great in Skyland, home of the Dragoncrows.

She looks like she’d have an easy time getting into the Stormfists!

Uh, oh. Surely those crowscratches in the wall mean something.

The bigger they are, Boo, the harder I punch!
SubRosa
Acadian: Tessering is a nice way of describing dimensional travel.

I think it is safe to say that January likes being back in Tamriel more than she does being in the Wasteland.

Go for the eyes Boo!

Ride the Lightning

Moonlight Stormcrow

A new hand touches the beacon

Slugging it out

Shining Through

Dawnbreaker

Renee
Nice, these are all great. I really love both moonlight shots.

Ride the Lightning! ... Stormcrow keeps one eye open. She doesn't need a hand from never-never land.

Acadian
Wow, Stormcrow really looks like she means business in Ride the Lightning – great shot!

Note for archers: Don’t try to duke it out at fisticuffs range with Stormcrow!

I find it interesting how the Dardra Lords evolve from game to game. Meridia was rather likable in Oblivion. Buffy found her quite annoyingly condescending in Skyrim. She is very likable in ESO, personable and kind even – a pleasure to deal with as she plays a significant roll in the main questline.
Lopov
Hey, I just checked and Stormcrow was in Nuka World.

Did she just step in some amusement park there, called Skyrim? Anyway, looks like she'll stay there for a while.

She continues her career as a monk in the land of the Nords. But I wonder how will she punch the ghosts? wink.gif

Is that bandit she's fighting in the last pics, the chief of the overlook east of Whiterun?

Beautiful screenshot of her holding the Dawnbreaker.

SubRosa
Renee: One thing I miss when I play other games are the Elder Scrolls' two moons glowing in the sky, along with all those great stars and auroras.

Acadian: We will seeing why Jan is the Stormcrow in this Saturday's episode of Pride in fact...

Lopov: Jan has been in Skyrim for a quite a while now. I had a huge backlog of Fallout pics though. But now they are all finally done.

A monk's ki strike ability makes their unarmed attacks a magic weapon, so they can fight things like ghosts. That is something January is going to learn in her fiction within just a few weeks. They are creatures of magic and darkness. She is a champion a magic and light.

That bandit was indeed the chief of the Overlook mountain gang.

Jan is living in a house I made for her

I made it from Proudspire Manor in Solitude

It sits halfway between Riverwood and Whiterun

Jan is pretty sure this guy is full of fake news

Green sky at morning, Dragonborn take warning

Acadian
Nice to see Stormcrow in Skyland.

I bet you had fun making the Witchhouse in Skyrim.

M’aiq is the inventor of fake news. tongue.gif

Stormcrow looks good in snow.

Red sky at night, Dragonborn’s delight.

Stormfront – time to open up a can of shock and awe?
Lightning – By Azura, I guess so!

Look! Up in the sky! It’s a crow! It’s dragon! It’s Stormcrow!
Renee

M’aiq is the inventor of fake news. tongue.gif

M'aiq does not understand what it means to combine magic. Magic plus magic still equals magic. redwizardsmile.gif

As usual I am going gaga over her outfits. blink.gif What adds those armor sets? Sorry if I've already asked this. She really looks good. And congrats on inheriting a new home. I really love those scenic shots!

Well I suppose I'll join you in posting some Skyrim Screenies. Lord Haaf-Mersey today, and one Vvvoor Video. Rawr!

Cellphone'd Lopov

The Gloom

Persuasion attempt gone awry? Time for Plan B.

Apperently I have Levitation in my game -- (I love these sort of glitches)

Red Skies at Night, Haaf-Mersey's alright

Sir Vyvoor / Alduin Fight #1 -- (Video. He tries to eat some food at the end, but Paalthurmax interrupts!)
Acadian
The Gloom and Red Skies are both beautiful shots, Renee.

Wow, Sir Vyvoor’s doing some serious dragon fighting! ohmy.gif viking.gif
SubRosa
Fun selife of LHM!

The Gloom is gloomy.

Plan B is often my Plan A! laugh.gif

I saw some of those floating Khajiit in the same area after Jan and one of the Khajiit bodyguards killed the dragon at the Western Watchtower.

Orange sky you see, LHM has to pee!

Looks like Sir V has an army with him. Isn't it annoying when the dragon you are trying to fight won't come and fight you, but instead gets distracted by something shiny somewhere else? Jan had to go running after one dragon yesterday, which took her right into a second one, plus an army of skeletons and draugr.

And Sir V immediately starts to carb up on bread after that big fight! laugh.gif
macole
SubRosa: Really like the Winter camo and Nightfall shots. She does look good in the skirted Eisen plate armor.

Renee: All that work and a guy can't get a bite to eat! Give him a break, really.
Lopov
@SubRosa - nice house, good location for a home, it offers a really nice view.

Nightfall is a great screenie!

Where did Jan jump from in the last screenie? Or did she levitate?

@Renee - at least plan B always works.

Careful that the Khajiit doesn't step on Lord's head.

Nice skies!
SubRosa
Acadian: Maybe Jan will rename it Stormrim? There certainly has been plenty of lightning around the place since she showed up.

Renee: Jan's main black outfit is the appropriately named Raven Witch Armor. Her winter camo is the Eisen Platte Armor with this texture upgrade. She won't be wearing the Eisen Platte any more however. When you are in First person mode your upper arms disappear when you sheath or unsheathe your sword. It is unnerving.

macole: I have always liked the elegant look of the Eisen Platte armors, both black and white versions.

Lopov: Jan jumped off of a mountain for the last screen. I am not using any flying mods for her in Skyrim. I did not like the look of them. I am using a heightened jump mod though, so she has some serious super-leaping. She also has a mod that removes all falling damage. So she jumps from mountains all the time.

Western Watchtower

Face to Face

Bridging

High Hrothgar

January now bears Yggdrasil

Soul Eater

This looks distressing

Acadian
I should think the MQ suits Stormcrow; after all, that’s what heroes do: hero stuff!

All along the western watchtower. . . Jimi Hendrix was the first Dragonborne I think.

It’s a giant winged deathclaw. . . oh, wait. . . nevermind. embarrased.gif

I love the Crowshield!

Soul Eater: That which doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.

Distressing: Uh oh, Jan runs into a Darryl family reunion and a dragon at the same time? ohmy.gif
Lopov
I don't see the watchtower in the first screenie. Something seems to be obscuring it. biggrin.gif

I hope that the dragon didn't have a bad breath.

Those bricks on the bridge aren't vanilla, right?

Floating while stealing a soul - what a cool effect.

Pfft, she'll deal with that army with ease.
Lopov
I bought the Skyrim Special Edition today and started a brand new game. I don't have time to attend a German language course, so playing computer games is (besides reading) one of the best ways to learn the language. I didn't want to mess with my existing game, where I have everything set to English, I figured that it's better to start from a scratch.

...

"How long has it been? Weeks? Months? If this book only contained a single word. But it's empty. Empty like...the Void."

"Who put these lockpicks here? Or...maybe they've always been here. All these weeks. All these months."

"Away, ghost, you're no match for me!"

"Treasure. Real treasure."

"Time to..."

"...read."

...

I'll write some backtory in the coming days.
SubRosa
Did you start in prison, playing a Nosferatu? He looks like Max Shreck, or at least Willem Dafoe from Shadow of the Vampire.
Acadian
Good to see you in Skyrim, Lopov! Looking forward to learning more about this new character.
Renee
Good job January taking care of some fearsome dragons! I am noticing her bird shield, very nice. smile.gif

Funny thing is, I'll bet January will b34t d@ M41n Kw3$t faster than Sir Vyvoor, who's been at it since 2017. ohmy.gif

--------------

Who is this idiot who keeps leaving keys and lockpicks in our cells? biggrin.gif The bookworm is back in action. Hope he knows his lore.

------------------

Let's focus on some old Mycharonna pics. ph34r.gif

Lopov'd Lopov-- (I allowed Lopov to have a Mycharonna save so he could do some mod-testing, long ago).

Vampire Vision

Magenta Mych

Arisen to Auroras indifferent.gif

Acadian
Very neat - hauntingly beautiful - shots of Mycharonna and the night sky, Renee.
Lopov
Spectacular screenshots, Renee! I'm in love with Magenta Mych and Arisen to Auroras! Wow!

I later figured out why Mych in my game looks so differently than in yours, I had some face-neck color mismatch enabled that disabled vampiric faces as an unwanted side effect. Once disabled, the vampire face was back.
SubRosa
You definitely have the knack for taking Mycharonna pics! They look great, and suitably ominous!
Acadian
Some great action shots of the Stormcrow in action.

The oncoming storm is especially neat/appropriate.

I'm guessing that is the mature Eldergleam? Buffy always brought the sapling.

Aww, loved the mammoths and their giants. wub.gif
Lopov
Is she wearing vampire gloves?

Nice shield!

Some nice dragon shots, I really like the one as you lopov-ed the dragon resting on the overlook.

Stormcrow and her giant friend.

SubRosa
Acadian: I shamelessly stole the Oncoming Storm from Dr. Who. It is one of the names the Daleks have for the Doctor.

That is the mature Eldergleam (or Gildergleam I forget which is which). It is the first time I have ever seen it, since I normally do the sapling option as well.

Lopov: Her gloves are from the Raven Witch Armor mod the rest of her armor is from. It does look a lot like the vampire gloves with the metal fingertips.

I did some work on the raven banner shield to invert the colors, and make it a white raven on a black background. Pics of it should turn up today.

The Deep
Lopov
Back before January people of Skyrim needed to check skies for dragons, now they must be careful that Jan doesn't land on their heads.

Maybe that wolf is Winter Wolf.

Wasn't Darryl an ally of one of yours...maybe even Persephone's?

---

Each adventure should begin with something pompous, so Erik and Mather decided to clear out the den of vampires close to Rorikstead. Some lowly servants that could still tolerate sunlight, were sent out to be on guard.

Deep below the ground they came upon the Master Vampire and finished him off surprisingly easy.

"Your face is in need of cleaning, Erik."

"Look at me. Without a splotch. Ladies are not interested in dirty adventurers."

Just like in their childhood, they stayed far away enough to be safe and curiously observed giants and their mammoths.

"Stop staring at that rabbit, here's some fresh water to clean up your face."

"Spot on!"

Change of weapons - they both used weapon & shield at first, now they both use two-handed - Erik uses the enchanted sword, while Mather uses the unenchanted spear.
SubRosa
A couple of great bloody (and non bloody) Lopovs to introduce the characters.

Great orange sky in the final, two handed pic.
Acadian
SubRosa -

Feel free to steal from Dr Who; I’ve never seen it. tongue.gif

Nosy would make a good ‘caption this’ shot: ‘Ahem, this statue really does not belong in the restroom!’

Jan’s Crabshack featuring Ayleid King Mudcrab this week!

Watching the sky – at least we don’t have to worry how Jan is going to get down from there.

See? How’d I know Jan would take the shortcut down?

Nice hatchlings, Stormcrow!

More flying

Heh, that wolf surely does seem unimpressed. I’d like to see him try to kill and absorb a dragon!

Yay for the Stormshield!

As soon as I read the title, I knew what was in store for poor Darryl.

Yup, those ancient glyphs would be right up Blood Raven’s alley.

Underwater flying. wink.gif

*

Lopov

Wow, that first picture is just spectacular! Skyrim never looked so good! I’m so glad that Erik and Mather’s first notable adventure together was both nearby and successful. Yes, as I recall, soap and water are in short supply in Skyrim. Hey, I think the wood Mather was chopping was alive!
macole
"Stop staring at that rabbit..." That's a good caption.
Lopov
@SubRosa @ Acadian - Skyrim SE looks great! The only minor thing which bothers me, is how it handles shadows, if turned away from any light source, the characters look way too dark. But in every other area it excels.

@macole - Erik was searching for every possible excuse not to clean up his face.

---

For today here are some screenies from the Dark Elf's game...

Convenient

Read, read, read!

Shock & Fire

Hircine frowns

The secluded path

The statue of Azura

Acadian
Oh I remember that convenient fallen tree trunk! He just can’t stop reading! Very nice shot of Azura’s statue – you can just see enough of it through the snowstorm – neat.
SubRosa
Wow, it has been so long I don't remember that convenient tree at all!

The Dark Elf is keeping up on the latest Timaeus Clancii novel - Grey Storm Rising.

I like that you have him some Dunmer clothes from Dragonborn.

By Azura, by Azura, by Azura!
SubRosa
Lopov: Darryl and his brothers are Persephone's summoned Draugr. That sort of turned into all Draugr after a while. The name just works.

Acadian: I was just hoping that face statue would not sneeze...

Jan really looks pretty in Unlocking the Secrets.

Buffy tried that giant ponytail Jan is sporting in Elder Knowledge. She liked it but it felt bigger than she was!

Ride the Wind – flying lessons from an old master?

I’m guessing Stormcrow completed the Alduin main quest here. Buffy never did that. In the first half hour of the game, Alduin saved her life from those head-hunting Imperials so why would she want to kill him? laugh.gif
Lopov
What a ponytail! Fortunately she has a helmet to go along with it.

The giant man reminds me of ogrillons from Baldur's Gate.

Alduin's back to where he belongs.

Like Acadian, I've never reached the final stages of the MQ, so it's good to see some screenies. I understand that the red dragon took her to Sovngarde? My reason for not finishing the MQ is that I got bored of it every time, I think I tried it two times altogether. The farthest I got is the point where you must convince both Imperials and Stormcloaks to capture the dragon in Whiterun (or sth similar, I don't remember details anymore).
Lopov
@Acadian - with fallen tree trunks I'm never sure if they're vanilla or modded, because I use some mod that places lots of them in convenient spots to serve as overpasses.

@SubRosa - just like with tree trunks, I think that in the un-modded game clothes from Dragonborn don't appear in Skyrim, so it's probably an effect of some clothing mod I've been using.

Now what have Erik and Mather been up to?

Smashing the Swindlers

Praying in the rain

Helping the boy

Escorting the boy back home

Through Labyrinthion

Whiterun

Butterfly

"Now please, no more questions."
SubRosa
No more swindling in that den! I like the triskelion on that unfortunate fellow's shield.

Stendarr showers bring Mara flowers.

Awesome troll hunting in Labryinthian.

As those who read the Buffy fic know, that butterfly might not be a butterfly...
