I understand about their faces, but honestly, OR is not just shiny retextures. I have seen some New Content already. There are little critters running around the floor of the tutorial dungeon; mice or maybe bugs. It's a very small thing, which only adds to the atmosphere of course, and which is evidence that Beth and Virtuous (the Chinese developers who co-constructed Remastered) didn't just make the game "prettier". There are new ideas present, and I want to see them! Damn compass.... and why the hell didn't the devs allow us to remove the crosshair???? rolleyes.gif Even on the 360 we can do this!

I'd say just stick with the original and enjoy what you've built up for so long smile.gif

I would love to, but it's gonna be a while. I need to get a new drive in my computer; which I'll do myself, as to save money. Then I'll need to build Oblivion, Morrowind, all my old games up on scratch. I did the exact same thing last year and it took four months to get back what I had from 2014 until 2024.

I can always play the original game on the 360, but since I do have the latest console why not play some later games on it? That's my attitude; I know... sacrilege, but hey. I don't have the same mindset I did ten years ago; I could probably return to Kahreem, whose game is still on the 360 and never got transferred to PC, but gaming with Newer ideas won't be possible. Plus I'm not really craving to return to Kahreem right now--- it's like his story's DONE, you know?

Sorry for off-topic. Next time I participate in this thread will probably in April or May; hopefully I'll write up Joan of Arkay or RG3 or my skooma dealer instead of ranting as I am now.

Lothran has now completed a full sweep of the Pale Pass area, but upon returning to the fort he spotted yet another Pale Pass Ogre Cave Boss, further proving that one always has to be vigilant in ogre country.

We do expect the area to be clear now, counting the teeth, but another round will be conducted shortly to look for another possible stray.
Acadian
Sounds like a good hunt. Well, for Lothran. . . not so much for the ogres. tongue.gif

If they could I think they would agree: 17 teeth in total ---> biggrin.gif

------------------
Lothran is now sitting at the Jerall View. The Pale Pass Ogre Cave Boss Hunt for 2025 has officially concluded.
mirocu
As another year is coming to an end, Lothran has donned his guard uniform and is now patrolling the streets of Bruma. He currently stands at the brazier to the right of Jerall View, warming up a bit before continuing with his rounds.
Acadian
Ahah, I was wondering how his guard duties were going up there this winter.
mirocu
Yes; Lothran guarded Bruma into the new year at the North gate as usual. He also made one patrol around town before returning to the gate where he stands at this moment.

Coffee break soon! biggrin.gif
Acadian
Brrr! Stay warm, elf!
mirocu
Said elf is now off duty and is sitting down at the dinner table by the fireplace in his home smile.gif
Acadian
Sorry I can't remember - is Lothran still using torches in his fireplace in Bruma or did you get him a mod to fix things?
mirocu
He got a mod for that many years ago now but you are correct; he did use the torch trick earlier which worked fine. But a proper fire in the fireplace is nicer smile.gif
mirocu
Capstone cave cleared again. Found another friendly female Khajiit bandit at the second level. I seriously have no idea why they seem to fancy Lothran but hey; who am I to question it? bigsmile.gif
mirocu
Lothran is now at his westmost point and is about to turn back home. Only bears along the way and then a Daedroth at the turnĂng point. I like big enemies; the bigger they are the easier they are to hit with a ranged weapon biggrin.gif
Renee
The 'torch trick' is what I would've done in early days on PS3

Oh yes. Lady Saga, my archer, loved the bigger enemies; better for target practice. goodjob.gif
mirocu
Now visiting Azura's shrine. A pretty uneventful journey but get this; the bandit corpses at the camp close to Dragonclaw Rock; now they're there again! Last time the camp was empty and prior to that Lothran killed the two bandits residing. No idea why/how two dead bodies went missing and then turned up again! blink.gif blink.gif blink.gif
Renee
One of those non-beneficial glitches, perhaps.
mirocu
I would have been less surprised if their heads were stuck in the ground and their legs up in the air twitching like manicas. THAT would have been Bethesda! laugh.gif laugh.gif

---------------------------

Lothran has now woken up in his home and is once again ready to head out. Think he's gonna check Plundered Mine again to see if there are any new playmates there biggrin.gif

Middas, 5:50 PM

Lothran is now on his last 24 hours in Bruma for this season. He's currently sitting at Jerall View and has one more evening left at Olav's Tap and Tack. Come Sunday in our world he will pack up his gear and leave for Chorrol.
Acadian
Ahh, a sure since that spring is approaching! happy.gif
mirocu
Lothran has now left Bruma.

Fireplace put out early in the morning, Snowflake put into its drawer, and with everything picked up from the travel chest upstairs Lothran exited his house and locked the door.

For the first time in months, it wasn't snowing anymore. The sky was clear and one could see for miles. Heading west, Lothran passed all the places he visits during his winter stay but now he pushed on, not going back to Bruma like he usually do.

Passing the shrine to Hermaeus Mora and going up the stairs, a Spider Daedra was waiting for him. Being not much of a challenge she was quickly disposed of and Lothran went past the point where he usually turns around. He's currently standing on the platform with some stairs going down. Still close to the mountains but now with more green in front of him.

The city of Chorrol awaits.
Acadian
Safe travels, Lothran!
mirocu
Thanks, mr Paladin! salute.gif

As it happens he's just raided Lipsand Tharn and killed off 12 vampires, making Cyrodiil just a little bit safer. Well, his Spriggan did it technically I s'pose... biggrin.gif
mirocu
Well, Chorrol is now Lothran's base camp but he's currently out in the mountains again although not in a snowy area.
mirocu
Today while roaming the Colovian Highlands, two things of note happened.

First thing was when Lothran descended from a higher point into a valley. Across it and onto another higher point he spotted a minotaur and between it and Lothran was a bandit. Wanting to see a show, Lothran cast a spell towards the minotaur to get his attention and when running towards the Dunmer he instead got into a fight with the bandit. This is always fun and had it been a Lord, the minotaur would have won, I'm sure. The bandit and another one close by later succumed to a couple of ogres.
The bandits originated from Broken Promises cave which was right in the area, a cave very similar in design to Capstone Cave btw.

Second thing happened when Lothran got a telepathic message that a Courier was in distress. Not know exactly where she was he ran to the road leading to Chorrol where she usually travels and sure enough; there she was being attacked by a wolf and a cougar. Both were slain by the Dunmer and as thanks, the Courier gave him a paper which is free anyway... tongue.gif

Now Lothran sits at the Oak and Crosier, a tavern known for its high number of shady Dunmer patrons. It's late evening and the fireplace warms Lothran's back as he chose the table closest to it.
Acadian
Sounds like fun starting a fight between that bandit and the minotaur. And good job saving that courier!

Buffy has leaned quite a bit more into healing (and magic in general) in ESO but I remember she went out of her way in Oblivion to save and heal foresters, legionnaires and couriers.

Sounds like fun starting a fight between that bandit and the minotaur.

Not the first time either, and this usally happens right in this wide open area where you can see for a long distance.

Sound like Buffs and Lothie are two peas in a pod sometimes biggrin.gif
mirocu
So Lothran keeps on roaming the Highlands. Visited Fort Ondo and is now heading back up to Chorrol again. He was last seen at Broken Promises Cave.

--------------------------------
Crumbling Mine.

Upon entering Lothran saw a bandit in the very first room and so he kept hidden and summoned his Spriggan. But... she didn't attack? After further investigation the bandit appeared to be yet another FFK - Friendly Female Khajiit. So Lothran exited sneak mode and started smooching her up to 96 disposition. Then he took her gold that was in a nearby chest... tongue.gif

Going further into the mine Lothran eventually got to the Bandit Ringleader which after a short fight with the Spriggan and her bear was revealed to have two interesting enchanted items. After this there was nothing else to do but going back outside.
Coming to the first room again, the Khajiit who Lothran talked to wasn't there anymore! No dead body anywhere and she wasn't outside. She was just....... gone! blink.gif
