Re: Stonehusk Poxito in Naj-Caldeesh. The stonehusk adds standing in pools were in fact dead, not invulnerable, although their health bars were not empty, and they remained stading. That's why I could not pull them out to finish them off. We were wasting effort on dead adds most of the time.

I'm not sure I'm ready to talk about that yet. panic.gif

OK, by Monday I'll be ready to take on Stonehusk Poxito again! viking.gif

The Undaunted Celebration is now on, and along with Event Tickets, also gives a curated bonus set piece from an item set specific to the dungeon you ran as well as double keys from pledges:

Maj al-Ragath - 2 keys
Glirion the Redbeard - 2 keys
Urgarlag Chief-bane - 4 keys

And of course with the Golden Pursuit also rewarding running dungeons and doing pledges, it seems like if people were after filling the sticker book for certain sets, now would be the time to do it.

As it's dungeons, I am of course always happy to help if anyone is wanting an impromptu run for keys or double drops. Love this particular event smile.gif

Me! I love this event, too. I'm around tomorrow during the day and then next week. Let's fill up some sticker books! viking.gif

I have done the solo GPs and got the 25k gold reward. I don't know if any dungeons are going to count for the pledge, dungeon, and "this one" categories for maximum efficiency, but they won't be crowded even if everyone thinks that way. I managed to find several of my characters that just needed a Bolgrul daily to hit rank 10, and the youngest reached 8, so that helped.

Time to group up.

Buffy's been able to solo a couple (non-DLC) pledges a day and worked it to include 3 of the 'one' requirements (Direfrost Keep - yes, she can solo it, Banished Cells I, Vaults of Madness) The others she's not comfortable soloing and doesn't need anyway. She's on track to finish the golden pursuit with 16/15 done - although all she really wanted was the seals of endeavor reward at 10 tasks. She has loads of undaunted keys so doesn't really care about those.

The Undaunted event is even lower key for her since she started with 12/12 tickets and has zero interest in the dwarven spider mount. So. . . she is simply buying group repair kits to keep her ticket purse from overflowing. I mean, she only has about 225 group repair kits before the event even started. . . . Good thing she loves soloing dungeons for fun and transmute crystals.

When would be a good time to group up for you both? Around 7pm UK/ 2pm US? Normal Guild Meet time? Let me know smile.gif

The earlier choice of time suits me, but both are possible.

2 pm Eastern sounds great!

Post Writhing Fortress observations:

I took a couple of other characters to Solstice to check what happens. A character that has done the Western quest line gets the opportunity to do the Writhing Fortress while Phase 3 lasts. A character that has not done it can enter the Eastern sector, but the portal into the Fortress is not present for them until they do the western quests.

Finishing the Fortress lets you operate the lens one last time and turn it off, having done its job. Characters who have not taken that step will still see the beam (except for bugs).

I believe that the "hole in the wall" visual without the portal to the Fortress is what persists after phase 3 ends.

The seven-day period for the Fortress had 7 days and 22 hours remaining when I logged off EU! NA's period had not yet started. NA opens 5 hours after EU because of time zones. I'll want to know if the Fortress closes the same way, or at the same time on both. No way for me to check Xbox or PS, of course.

That's interesting. Jerric was able to enter the fortress having done the event quests but no zone quests. When he got out there was a blue portal to get back in, and the hole/tunnel in the wall now takes him to Eastern Solstice.

I'm going to try with a character who has not done the event quests.

EDIT: New character was able to enter Eastern Solstice through the gold tunnel and enter the fortress through the blue portal. In the fortress speaking to Keshu the Black Fin gave him the option to join the Writhing Wall event which would start the Support the Fellowship quests. So it seems prudent to do the event quests first.

On NA Jerric ended up in a bugged Western Portal (Infernium not moving) and traveled to a player who was in a working instance. His quest updated. He charged ahead hoping to find something to fight. His quest updated again. He hit the grapple points with deadly accuracy and sailed over the former battlefield, finding only bodies. Stormed the final gate – and his quest updated. He finished the event's ultimate battle without a single fight. Sigh.

Wow.

I've been ill with Covid the last few days, still not great, so I was a little sad that I was likely going to miss going through the Fortress in time.

Just seen this in the dev tracker on the official forums! As an apology for the depressing state of the event, they're giving everyone 8,000 seals of endeavour (8,000!) on day one of December, and bringing the week long event back in early 2026 hopefully bug free, for those that haven't done it.

Really impressed with that response!

WOO HOO!!!!!

Acadian
Sorry to hear about the covid, Burnt. Hope it's not too bad and you recover fully and quickly.
Grits
That is an excellent response to the situation. Thank you for sharing it! I will certainly take NA Jerric back in for the do-over week. Because he wants a fight and because I want the lead for a vitrified soul thingy furnishing. (It looks cool.)

I hope your recovery goes swiftly, Burnt. Sorry to hear you have been ill.

Also, 8,000 Endeavors! Wow. That does ease the sting of all that blue-tinted nonsense.

Get better Burnt!

I didn't even know the event had some bad rep. That's nice that Zeni's giving out 8,000 seals.

But . . . What the hell are seals? Man, I've been gone for so long lol.
Acadian
Introduced in 2021, seals of endeavor are a form of currency that you can spend in the Crown store for items there. Each day, the game offers 5 different simple tasks and you get some seals (typically 10 or 15) for each one you complete - up to 3 of the 5 so you can pick and choose among the 5 offered. Same thing on a weekly basis (resetting on Mondays) for 'weekly endeavors' except it is 1 of 3 tasks that you can complete, the tasks are more time consuming and you typically get 250 seals.

The tasks are designed to be pretty unobtrusive and I think they are. Buffy is a bit picky but she probably gets her three dailies 95% of the time, and her weekly one 99% of the time.
ghastley
The other thing to note about Seals of Endeavor is that the things you can buy are all in the current Crown Crates. I.e. you don't have to gamble real money to get them if you have seals. Which is why they exist, so there isn't any item you can only get by gambling.
