What did you get?
I stick to plain vanilla ice cream. Always been my favourite.
Same here, although some variety isn´t too bad sometimes 
Here in the colonies, they distinguish three kinds of plain vanilla:
Vanilla - generally minimally and artificially flavoured, so that the other varieties are "premium" ones. Useful as "a la mode" topping.
Vanilla Bean - more flavour, but with added gritty black specks to prove they used real beans instead of vanillin.
French Vanilla - (similar to Cornish) which is made as a proper custard-based ice cream using eggs.
You'll also get frozen yoghurt in vanilla flavour, which is generally indistinguishable from the basic ice cream. These concoctions are generally industrial mixtures, and have no natural processes involved, so the yoghurt/cream distinction is a bit moot. The thickening of the milk usually comes from seaweed extracts, anyway. I believe you can also get stuff that contains no milk products at all.

I think your wind blew your bad weather this way; we have one hell of a wicked storm blowing in really fast from the north east - not looking good, already heard a branch land on our deck! Urgh.
I've already unplugged everything and brought the dog in, I can see lightning and hear thunder as it rolls towards us and ... huh? It stopped and everything went dead for a couple minutes and then suddenly it hit again with a vengeance !!!!! Urgh.
Glad for my laptop and flashlight.

Thanks! It slowed way down; now it is lingering just to the NE of my house. Thank goodness the wind died down, we still have the last tree that fell leaned against the house. And I'm glad it is holding off so my son can get to work. He is in a loaner car he is not used to, didn't want him driving in a storm in it.

This is normal when a regular storm goes right over you. Like the eye of a Hurricane, only calmed down a few notches. If I recall the physics correctly, the worst is over when the calm spot hits, as the trailing side is less powerful. It's just that the sudden resumption is more startling than the sudden stop.
